Aug. 29 & 30 were declared special non-working days. I was so happy because Aug. 30 is my hometown's fiesta (a 30 min. ride from home) , so i will be going there on the 29th and sleep over until 30th at my parents' house. Husband cannot come because his nature of work requires them to be at work even on holidays. Nonetheless, I am so excited because my best friend from Canada will be arriving for that fiesta too. At this early we already have plans of our get together and outing. Guys, do you have plans already for those holidays?

Hi simplyd! I also heard that there's gonna be a long weekend this coming August. I also cannot wait for it to come because I need a long time to write my projects in school. I am working so I cannot really give a lot of time to my school projects. And there's just too many of them! .

I think it's because his friend and allies in the business and private sectors do not want longer holidays.

That's right. PNoy has been so tight in giving us Holidays. If it falls on Sunday, then it's on Sunday. But this time it falls on weekdays and it's successive. His father's "Ninoy Aquino Day" , falls on Sunday , Aug. 21, so that's it again. No Holiday.

No plans yet as of this moment but I am still looking forward to making that plan! I'm also excited, I just hope that my company won't demand me to work during the holidays as there are instances that there is a need to work on such days. But oh well, if that is still the case, holidays still gives a win-win situation as the pay would be bigger.

Truly? That is nice. We can have a real good break. We would probably get the family together and eat out. In the evening, we will, most likely, begin recording songs.

That's a nice plan you got there, SimplyD! This upcoming August 15 will be our hometown fiesta too but I am not too sure if I would be permitted to take a leave of absence considering that it's payday. As the designated point person at payroll, I have to work during that day.

Oh that's sad. When one has an office position that is crucial to payroll and it falls on payday, it will really be a no-no. But here in our company by 12th the payroll has been completed and for submission to the bank already. A hometown fiesta is really something to look forward to. I thank God that it's a holiday, because should it had not been , i have no more leaves to use and will be deducted for it.

We have crossed out August 29 and 30 in our calendar. Holidays are very precious to us because we get the chance to rest and to spend quality time with our family.

Correct! As employees, we long for longer days off , so when a holiday falls on a Monday, it would mean longer time to rest and relax. We can even go to a far place just to be able to have fun.

It's party time. If only I have known sooner I could have bought tickets of cebu pacific during the "Piso sale" and could have wandered in our beautiful sceneries in Visayas and mindanao.

Oh yes, Cebu pacific has been offering PISO sale on their domestic flights as well as flights to Asian countries, for the past months. But with PNoy, you have to wait if it will really be announced as non-working days. yes, it will be party time for everyone on those days!

Good for you, it sounds like you are planning to have a trip those two days. Once in a while we all need to get away and just have fun, with family and friends as well. Is to bad that the hubby won't be there. Unfortunately, our next holiday won't be until September 5th, but I don't have to much planned for that day, probably just stay home with the kids get in the pool and have a small B-B-Que. But I do however hope you have lots of fun on the 29th & 30th.
