Reading Guidelines.. How Often?

Guidelines, terms of service, FAQs.. they are almost everywhere. In the internet, when we join sites, they are present. But I must admit that I never really read them so much, sometimes not read them at all, or sometimes just a part of them. I think it all comes from my excitement and my boring feeling reading such things. It's no wonder why I'm sometimes surprised when my (or others) discussion is deleted or my response (or others) is deleted.. Since experiencing this, I strive hard to read the guidelines first and the FAQ of sites I join..
How about you guys? What's your view in this?

I would think that when you have a question that you would go to the FAQs and read the guidelines. If these do not answer your question this email AskAlice(Alex) and get the answer from him. I would not want my discussion deleted either. Have only had that happen once or twice.

But if you read the 'DON'T's in the guidelines you can pretty much figure what the reason was behind deletions of discussions. Silly questions or ones digging Mylot are usually deleted unless nicely done.

Thanks!
Yes, I do look at the resources available here whenever I have problems. I only had one discussion deleted so far but many comments deleted due to discussions I responded being deleted. Sometimes, it's just hard to recognize the mistake specially because responders are not given the reason why discussion was deleted.
Happy day!

Even I very rarely read the terms of service and just proceed and sign up for the website. But with so many scamsters out there I have made it a point to read the FAQ's aand also do a review of the site on the internet.
The excitement does get us in and we end up signing for the site rather than reading all the proper documents. By reading the documents we become aware of the terms the site has laid down. We will also be aware of the consequences for the things we do and will avoid doing such things.
Even when it comes to receiving a new credit card from the bank we often just skip all the terms and are all geared up to use the card. We do not read the interest rate and this is certainly not a good thing. These things will take about 10 mintues of our time and from now on I will make it a point to read the terms and FAQ's before signing up and also on receiving documents from the bank..

HI!
I really do read FAQs when signing up to earning sites. It's hard to get into scams. But here in mylot, there's just a lot of thing to read that I once did not find the time to read and so suffered a little.
Thanks and happy earning!

I usually read them after a post that I answered was deleted and I often wonder why. Sometimes it is not clear. Where they insulting someone? Why was it not deleted sooner because I do not have that much time to leave my emails for a week so the ones that should be deleted are deleted before I get to them. With the other sites I feel most of the guidelines are explanatory such as do not use another ones name, only one member per ip address or home, etc. but here it sort of changes. I do wish that mylot would also tell the responders (if they ask) why so they do not go and respond to a similar discussion.

Yes, rules here in mylot are a little more complicated than in other sites. Yes, sometimes it's hard to understand how come the discussion had been deleted..
Thanks and happy mylotting!

I read FAQs and guidelines and that is the first thing I do after registering or even while not registering of any specific sites. It is because in there, i can decide if the site is for me or not. There are site that are strict, especially on forum sites. Sometimes they do not consider a response unless it is five sentence lenght and it should have quality. So they consider your response as Spam and you will not earn from it. If you did not know about that guidelines then you will get confused why are you not earning. And then there are other forums that require you to visit specific threads 50 times, more or less because it will get locked. If you are not aware then you will always post there, especially if that site interests you. So that is the importance of guidelines. you should follow rules or else the admin will take you out.

It is important that we read the guidelines so we know what we shouldn't be posting here. I am sure many are still ignorant of the rules in mylot simply because they did not read the guidelines and take for granted that they can posts anything here which might escaped the watchful eyes of admin. Only when their discussions are deleted then they realized that all discussions are carefully scrutinized by admin. In order not to waste your time posting discussions that would eventually be deleted, it is important to read and reread the guidelines. Discussions deleted affect the responders too as they will naturally go down with the discussions.

Hi!
Yes you're right. Ignorance of the law excuses no one. Ignorance of mylot's rules which are clearly stated would excuse no one from getting his/her discussion/comment from being deleted. i must say that most people here including me only read guidelines carefully and thoroughly once our comment discussion had been deleted..
Happy mylotting!

I also do not read FAQs of sites. But when responses get deleted or any other things happen only then I go to read them.

Well, there continues to be a lot of New members coming into myLot every day. Some will never really post much and give up right away, while many others continue to come and post here for many yrs. to come. Many leave feeling discouraged because of pay etc. never learning what it takes to make $$ and survive here. And then they never read the FAQ's or ask questions but those that do are the survivors and many times this site becomes more like their second home.

At this site, reading the rules and guidelines is a must. If you don´t read them, many of your posts will be deleted and others will have no answers. That way you´ll get bored of the site instead of becaoming addicted to it as many of us are

i don't read the guidelines, but I do remember no referral links and no topics on how to cheat a website and don't say offensive things, that's all I need to remember.

Same here. I don't really read the guidelines or shall we say just read part of it. i also experienced my response being deleted because the discussion was deleted. I have several deleted responses but i don't remember the reasons.
