Inconsiderate neighbor-blowing his horn at 2am :x

Hi jai, I understand how annoying this must have been for you and your entire neighborhood.But, this happens in most neighborhoods.In my own neighborhood, we have an apartment next to our house where there are some students renting an apartment and the noise they make is at times far too disturbing.In our case it is not bad since our house faces the other way, but the other neighbors are perpetually complaining, and the boys are careful for sometime and then it starts again after a few days..

He was proly dunk and I don't have that problem I live in small town U.S.A where people still have manners. I would have a talk with your neighbor and tell him you have children that sleep at 2 am

Okay sweetie, here is what we will do. Wait till he goes to sleep, take a freaking awesomly big potato and go shove it into his cars exhaust. Run like hell and go to bed then.

It's obvious that your neighbor has a few problems and he was in a state of anger or maybe even drunk,otherwise I can't explain why he would do such a thing in the middle of night and disturb the peace of the neighborhood.The fact that he also slammed the house gate clearly indicates that he wasn't in a normal state,so I guess he needs some counseling and maybe treatment for his troubled mind.

It happens to me everyday. My neighbour, I don't know what he thinks of himself, every night he arrives home and blows the horn millions of time. I think he is very pride and arrogant. He never steps out of his car to ring his doorbell, instead starts honking. Man, i hate that guy!!!!

really inconsiderate of him and quite disrespectful of the time and the presence of the neighbors itself. if he had been in his own property with no neighbors within earshot, i'd say go ahead and make noise... for as long as no one else will be bothered by it. in my neighborhood, if that ever happened, someone is sure to get a formal complaint from the village officers. we have a roving patrol that goes on even in the early morning. plus, the city police is just a block and a half away. if that kind of disrespect was ever shown, he'd soon find his way to the city jail for the rest of the night. escorted by no less than the police officers on duty. hehe people love their quiet and restful sleep. and for goodness sake, it's 2 in the morning. it's the time in the sleep where the lymphatic system is being cleansed and the liver repair is on-going. lol

Hi di Maybe he stole a new car from some place and brough it home or even better - maybe his old car had broken down and he renovated it/remodelled it and got back at 2:00pm or even = he was drunk and wanted to show that his car has a horn choose anyone that you feel comfy with! hehehehe In my current neighbrhood, there are stray dogs (about 14-15) who always have a grand party(you can think of wedding party or even the campaigns for elections or even a gangwar) at that time of the night. They are also quite punctual and it always starts between 1:00am to 3:00 am. The roads otherwise are too narrow and cars dont arrive at that time of night, I dont know what will happen at the new place we are moving to on 31st.

People can be inconsiderate sometimes.They don't mind the feelings of other people, since they knew making loud noise is disturbing.What more if it's done in the wee hours of the night. Yeah it do happens too in our neighborhood, I don't know what these people are trying to prove.For us to know that they have a car or they don't know how to handle good habits for having one. Anyway as you have said the guy don't live in the place, I do hope his relatives do apologized to you the next morning.

hi-ho jaiho.. =D well, so far, I've never encountered such moment..but I've encountered a lot of people like him everyday.. people who don't seem to care with their fellowmen.. just like here in our condo, the tenant adjacent to our unit often leaves their gate open, blocking almost half of the hall way..i am really pissed that sometimes, i wish jimmy neutron's "rust agent" is real..(i'm not sure what he calls it, but it's a spray that speeds up oxidation on metals) i wonder why people like them were born..??? they're just a disturbance in the society..

this never happened before in our neighborhood... maybe your neighbor was drunk at that time or maybe he's a little mad or something.. our neighbors are really good people and would never do such a thing.. if they do, then hell will break loose..:)

I have not seen this happening in my neighborhood, I believe this is the first time your neighbor behaved like this. He might have drunk that day, just tell him politely, whatever he did. And let him know that he disturbed the peace of the neighborhood.

Hey i am sorry about this guy i hope he gets away somehow or stops doing it i had such problems from time to time but for 1 day it is really annoying ...

Wow!! This is unreal. At 2 a.m. in the morning he is lucky that no one called the Cops to complain. To me, that is definately a little rediculous and uncalled for. I am glad someone from the house was able to finally come out, and handle the situation. Wonder if the relative was locked out or what? Could they of not tried calling if they had a Cell Phone first instead of making so much noise and waking everyone around them up?

Here in the UK,our Highway code regulations impose a horn curfew between 11:30pm and 7am...dunno what the penalty might be if the cops were involved,though...

I live in New York City (The Bronx) so it's always loud where I live. I live right by a highway, main road, and train. There's also a park right outside my window and places that repair cars. People in the building next to mine are usually yelling out of their windows or blasting music really loud. That doesn't usually bother me though because my room is away from that. I'm used to all of the noise coming from my bedroom window. My neighbor upstairs used to annoy me though because she would run on her treadmill really early every morning and it would wake me up. I have a feeling it was her husband though because she's too tiny to make all of that noise. My cousin had problems similar to yours with a neighbor before. He was fixing his car and would keep making some sort of noise with his car. It was either really late or really early in the morning. She said the guy was rude to them when they told him to stop making noise. They also have neighbors that have called the city and reported my aunt for putting up a new fence around her yard. I try to ignore bad neighbors if I can.

Hi jaiho: No, thanks god this situation has never happened in my neighbour because that's not fair with the rest of the people that lives with this man. Some people should care more about how their neighbours feel and not just to look what they want. It looks like a disrespectful and uncomfortable situation ALVARO

People have yet to understand why a dog barks. There are different barks for different reasons but you think anyone will pay attention? No. Never. I have a couple of neighbours who think dogs are meant only as watch dogs. Even watch dogs need a life and their needs have to be fulfilled. My life is on smooth wheels - touch wood except for these dogs who disturb the otherwise peaceful neighbourhood. I suppose one can't get everything in life. My dog is treated well. She has therefore no need to bark except when she alerts us of any strange happenings around us.

Well that's really inconsiderate of him. What does he think? He's in the wilderness where he's the only person alive? Our neighbors also sometimes show inconsideration by throwing their garbages in our area, using our lot like it's theirs by painting their stuffs there, throwing and burning garbages inside our lot and having a karaoke as loud as hell.. great our house is not close to them.
