A challenge right?
I used to ask that whenever my friends tease me to tone my body to shape, I have shapes, i have curves, hahaha, I just have a fat belly, beer belly though i don't drink beer, sitting belly, because i always sit, no matter what you call it, sometimes they asked me how many month old is the baby inside my belly, well I yell I am not pregnant!
I know I am prettier like this rather than when I am skinny, i felt like I looked like a hanger.
However, Honestly, I do felt some insecurities whenever I see dress i want to wear but it won't fit me because I am not skinny like the model who wears it.
But then, question? how are you going to ask somebody to diet when he/she love to eat?...

It's so difficult to convince someone to lose weight when that person doesn't realize herself to do it. NO matter what i'll say i think it won't matter at all. I think i'll just help her realize it but not really tell her to lose it right there and then.
Making exercise as a past time that one enjoys is the best way to lose weight. I like walking and jogging around the village with my husband, like a date. It's really cool. Or riding a bicycle while enjoying the scenery. But to have a rigorous exercise doesn't appeal to me at all.

Yeah, I find it hard to go to a fitness gym, just one floor above my office,I am afraid office mates will tease me, and I don't have much time, I am looking for an exercise that can be one of my daily habit, I started walking, just to remove this fat belly...

hi jelminrie,.. i have this belly issue as well and i started losing some weight since june this year because my bestfriend got me into a bet that i should lose at least 2 kgs per month!.. now that's what you call motivation.. if i win the bet,, she'll treat me in an expensive restaurant,, if i lose, i'll do the same to her.. so it's a win-win situation since i keep on losing weight to win our bet.. it definitely works.. i exercise everyday and was able to put myself into a strict diet.. :) from 64 kg.. im down to 59.7.. and still losing,.. the latest bet is 58 kgs in august 8! i think i'll win this time, :)

I like eating as well but I started on diet because I found my weight keep increasing and I know the risk of obesity and the problem caused by unhealthy diet and obesity. Therefore, I started on diet by cutting down snacks bit by bit. I managed to stop snacks for a few months and my weight has dropped continuously. I think what you have to tell that person in order to make him on diet is to tell him the adverse effect of obesity so as to make him feel scared of eating.

That's a hard question to answer. Truthfully I love eating hence the bulkier me. I love my body but I know that health wise I should lose the extra pounds. It is so hard to diet to tell you the truth. In addition to that the brain does crazy things when your dieting like making you feel depress because you are suppressing your urge to grab something that you usually love.

the sister of my best friend eats a lot...and when I say a Lot i really mean it. and it always bother me on how to tell her that she double her weight ever since she graduated in high school and that was 10 years ago. to think she does not even have a husband but she really looks awful. I guess people around her including me of course don't have the guts to tell her whats wrong.

My officemate used to drink a tea. Accordingly, if you take that tea, the fat won't stay in your body no matter how much you eat. Only the nutrients will stay, and those fats will go once you loose vowel.

hmm what a challenge on my part. I am 105lbs, but i used with a light weight even before. Now i tried to loose weight.
Im petit, but generally i am on a diet, not really diet but control what i eat.
When i am around with my friends also having trouble with their weight and also simply they are my eating body too. But if we eat too much i just suddenly stop specially when i feel my stomach is full. And sometimes i don't join them simply becoz im conscious with my figure, they ask then "why are you not eating?", then simply i say "im on a diet, need to loose a little weight", then they all yell at me "DIET!, what about us then?" hehehe that made them sometimes eat them less hehehe...
It's ok to eat maybe just control some sweet and carbo type of food. Go on protein type of food. And little kind of walking that helps:-)

Getting serious in loosing weight might help us, we could try different methods that will fit us and will appeal to us, because many methods are available for us, I have a lot of prevention magazines and I have read a lot of their weight loss plans in different methods, You just have to choose what ever you want or try to do them all once a day..:) But I don't know how to fight with the luxury of eating because not everyone has the privilege to do so and I am lucky I could eat whatever I want..

dear Jelminrie you cant ask anyone to diet. If someone wont want to at least try to lose weight you cant make him or her do that.
I am overweight but all my blood parameters are okay so I wont worry about it. My husband has a heart disease and only this made him a bit more conscious about his eating and drinking habits and now he has lost some of that belly fat and looks better and also feels better. But when I told him before it would be good for him if he changed some eating habits he reacted negatively and did on purpose what he should not have done.....

Honestly, just taking the proper amount of time (at least 20 minutes each meal) to eat and truly savor your food will go a long way in helping you lose lbs, whether you are really "watching" what you eat or not.
It takes the brain 20 minutes to receive the message from your digestive track that you have been eating, mostly due to the time it takes for various chemical reactions in your body. Just by slowing down while you eat, properly chewing your food, and enjoying the taste/texture of what you're eating, it gives your body more time to realize that it's eating. When you gulp down food quickly, your body is chemically reacting slower then you're eating, causing overeating which is the main culprit of weight gain - whether you have a healthy diet or more unhealthy diet.
