Does Ipad 2 need anti-virus software to be installed?

hi guys! I have just bought a Ipad 2 64GB wifi version in white color days ago and started exploring it. Since I have no idea about the operation system of ipad, I am quite worried to get it infected by virus when using it. It is more or less a Personal Computer, and we often install anti-virus software for PC, so I am just wondering if I need to install any anti-virus software for it. Or does it have an internal firewall??? Can guys who owned an Ipad tell me whether you have installed an anti-virus software or not? If yes, do you have any tips or recommendation? thanks a lot!
