Wow..that's odd! I've never had that problem before while logging into Mylot. It might be something you'll want to contact support about...they may be able to help you out! And I'm sure they'd had to see you delete your account over it but I understand your frustration.

I'm using AVG and haven't had any problems. If it's logging in specifically, (not using the site) you could set your browser to store your username and password so you don't have to keep logging in?

hi tessah these virus warning popups are they from your Avg or from some site that wants you to upload their virus protection as its a scam if you down load this site that is supposedly knowing g your computer has a virus , you will do just what they want, get a real virus so then they can clean it up and sucker you into buying their virus protection,. a nasty way of getting a real virus. of course it its from your avg then you can empty the vault so its ready to store more virus. however I stay logged in and I have the virus protection that comes with my new Windows XP and have not had one warning yet for virus.

its a warning popup from my avg telling me that my computer was exposed/threatoned/diseased by a virus and asks me to remove/repair/heal/move to vault

then I would empty your vault as AVGs will let you do that. could be that even if we are both from the US it might be that in 'Calif where I am I am getting no virus warnings but in your area there must be some virus out there as AVG is certainly a reliable company that I used for years on my windows 2000. Or just remove the virus and be done with it. sad to hear there are so many and I here am not finding any. hugs from hatley.

Hey tess! Know what ya mean! But, am getting them no matter what site am on and don't know what's going on! I don't know much about computers and viruses and count on my "computer guy/"sort of son" to check it out. He is a Manager at Staples and just changed stores so won't take calls and ready to kill him! He set me up with virus protection, but I don't know how to disable the pop-ups and lately they are out of control even on Internet Explorer!

I had this problem way back years ago, then I started using firefox, and no problems, once again about 3 months ago when firefox stopped working for me, I ended up with the problem again while using IE, it may just be effecting IE, that I am not sure of. But I only get it like you when coming into some discussions not all of them.

I've had similar problems to getting virus warnings with my Free AVG Antivirus software on my computer, but so far I haven't had any issues. Usually I get them upon the opening of select discussions so I guess it doesn't really concern me much. Although I feel as if I should, I might consider looking into it and possibly not using MyLot if the problem persists as well :(

I am now in USA only and I have not faced this problem so far in the last three months. I am not sure what AV is installed by my son in his computer(which I am using) . This is dell computer with support. For that you need not delete account altogether. Download a good anti virus software, scan the computer fully and then restart.
