I have been wondering why music in films (and really music in general) is so emnotionally influencing? It can influence you to feel more happy, more sad, upbeat,... you name it. What is the reason for that?

Well, what usually happens is the movie will drag you through the plot and as it heightens up, they will then play the music that's why it becomes emotional. I've always found this awesome in action movies. The music is well-placed where it should be and nicely composed, if I might add.
