Do you exercise? Would you like to exercise more?
For the past 3 weeks, I've been going to the gym before work every weekday morning. I am doing a running program, and hopefully I will be able to run for 30 minutes without stopping. I am really happy with my progress, because over 3 weeks, I have managed to get from being unhealthy and barely being able to run at all, to running for 15 minutes. I am doing my best to keep it up, and if I lose a little weight in the process, then that would be nice.

How I wish I could also exercise like you. Because of my studies, I find it hard to exercise since I can't find a convenient time to perform such. I used to go to the gym last year (I think? or early this year) but I can't even visit the gym now.

That would be easy if not for the cold weather. Because its cold, I sometimes prefer to just lay down.

I'm sure that you are going to lost weight by doing exercise every day. And running is an appropriate way to achieve this goal. In addition you will go to improve your health. Then go ahead and enjoy it. :)

I used to exercise but these days, that is a problem for me. I used to go to a gym for the weights, but I haven't been in a while because I couldn't afford to go. I also rode a bike, but someone was kind enough to steal it off the bike rack on the bus one day. So it has increased walking to places, since I have no car, and the bus system incorporated walking nicely thanks to a screwed up system. Once I actually walked to a place and beat the bus, that is how bad it is. I used to live by a park and I see people walk, run, bike and jog around it in the mornings. However, I was only able to go around it at night, which is entirely different (meaning unsafe). On the plus side, one learns how to run fast, jog, jump, focus, and control your adrenaline while the person chasing you is trying to hurt you. Not making this up, but once some guy tried to stab me, and once while on the bike, I was running from a person shooting at me.
Now, I would love to try and restore my health. It has been in decline lately since I have lost my job (no income), and before that was stressed about losing the job, failing school, and was destroying my health. I had all the time int he world at my disposal, but could not finance eating properly, or working out (or bills), and was concentrating on finding work. In this time, I lost 45 pounds, but not in a good way because I am running into fatigue, and feeling weak. The last time, I went through a crazy weight loss like that, I started lifting weights, and put all of it back on, and then some, but I was also dealing with insane strength as well. I do enjoy lifting and bulking, and I actually like being bigger, heavier, and stronger (muscle craving addict here). As soon as I get myself together, my goal is to get a membership and grow the beast back.

I dont really care about building up muscles, because I'm a female, but I wouldnt mind losing a little weight. I run every morning, but I am only a beginner, and I'm working through the couch to 5k program. I'm on the treadmill for 30-40 mins at a time, and then afterwards I do 3 sets of 4 exercises with very small weights. I read that if you only use small weights, it helps tone and lose weight rather than build up the muscle.
It sounds like you work really hard to stay in shape! I hope I can keep it up.

I want to exercise too but I don't seem to have the time for it. My excuse is that the gym is so far away from where I live, it's my purely my fault that I am gaining weight - fast! A gym was recently opened and its practically our next door neighbor - there goes my excuse not to exercise! By next month, I will enroll in this gym and I will sweat myself out, if I still have any excuses left not to exercise, then I might have to kill myself by waiting for a heart attack.

Yes I do exercise la_chique. I make it a point to go the gym everyday. I usually run at least 3 to 5 kilometers using the treadmill. I use other cardio machine like the stepper, elliptical and stationary bike. You made the right choice of exercising especially doing running program. Keep on doing it. It will slowly increase your stamina and endurance and you'll surely reach your goal of running for 30 minutes or more. Surely your weight loss will follow too.

I do exercise everyday after I woke up, just some stretching and up and down to our stairs for maybe 20 or more times a day before I eat breakfast. that's already a routine for me,like it's already programmed in my mind that I need to do that after I woke up.

Good job! You'll be in great shape in no time if you keep it up. I used to Exercise twice a day 4 days a week. Being physically active make a person feel much better and the benefits are many. I've had to slow down recently. so I only exercise occassionally now.

To be honest, I am not doing any exercise these days as it is so hot outside. I stay inside all day if I don't have to go out. But I do go out in the evening as I have some students to tutor for more than two hours. After reading your discussion, I think that I may as well do some running on the school track field when coming back to school. It is good for us to do exercise every day. Keep it up, friend. Have a good day.
