How To Stop Receiving Notifications From Mylot?

Hey there, I hope Alice the admin will also join in this discussion. I guess I have made a mistake by using my personal email address in signing up here in mylot. It's not that I don't want to receive any emails from mylot it's just that, I am tired of receiving and deleting notifications that my friends have started a new discussion. It's the only thing I want to stop. So I went to preferences at the top of my screen and then clicked the notifications link and there are boxes (check/uncheck) beside certain type email you would like to receive from mylot but noticed that there's no option for "friends started a new discussion". Is there any way I can stop receiving the said notification? I don't know is this has been a discussion before, so I apologize in advance if this thing will soon be deleted by the admin.

Oh I forgot to tell you. You can change your email preferences. In fact, I got a special email just for mylot. That might make it easier.

Open your friends list. Next to each of their names is an option to turn off notifications from that member.

Ive also got this problem with my 2nd email. (the Gmail account). Good thing a didnt entered my personal email because it will flooded with too much notifications which for are insignificant. I just go Online in mylot to speak whatever are the things that run in my mind. I dont wish to get rich in here but gain ideas from many people who will express an open-minded opinion..

Hi Xsparky: It seems that you have already get the answer you want. i just want to add that if you truly feel uncomfortable by receiving your notifications from mylot you can also mark them as spam on your email service provider. That's another way to stop receiving them. But in my case I won't do this because that's the best way to keep in contact with my friends and be in touch with the hottest discussion on the site. And at the same time notifications don't bother to me ALVARO

Hi, I think you can change your personal email adress in your profile or in prefernces I guess. I am not sure where but I'm sure you can edit it right here. Or you can also move your mylot email notifications to your Spam folder, that way all mylot emails will go directly to your Spam folder.
