Best Steam Games Out There

I created a Steam account a few weeks ago and still have no games, no friends, and no idea of any good Steam games out there. So, if you be so kind of you to give me some recommendations for some great Steam games.

You should try out Battlefield Bad Company 2, Call of Duty mw2, or wait for the new battlefield 3 and MW3 if you want a FPS.
You can also try the Witcher 2 that is an awesome RPG.
