Dealing with Cyberbullies in Facebook- Talkback

As a Facebook junkie myself, I've observed that there are lots of people who bring out their personal life struggles/conflicts with others with the use of posts, mean comments and other means of communication within the site. Nowadays, I felt that Facebook has became an online gossip column, and to the extreme, a battlefield which affects not only the parties involved but also give other 'NET-izens' a negative impression regarding personal matters. For my part, I have experience the cyberbullying within Facebook, whether it may be Wall posts, comments, messages or note updates. I felt that the essence of social networking sites has long gone, and now here comes the worst case scenario of cyberbullying. I tend to block or ignore all the cyberbullies in Facebook most of the time, or report them to the Administration. However, those issues have never been resolved. How about you? Have you experienced cyberbullying in Facebook? Feel free to share your experiences. :)

Hello there! I am glad that I hadnt any experience cyber bully especially in facebook. My profile there is set to private, meaning my friends can only view and comment on my post. I guess you have to do that if your profile isn't set to private setting. Also, I do not add people that isn't really my friend. I don't add anybody I don't know. I hate these negative people!

Hello there, bluespygirl! You've got a good point, it's better not to add strangers due to the fact that there's a lot of Facebook cons and fraud roaming around the online world. It's good to hear that you haven't experienced any cyberbullying in Facebook. On my part, those people who just can't get enough of causing 'word-wars' in my Facebook circle are no stranger to me, but used-to-be my trusted friends. I hate negative people as much as anyone does.
