Batanes is the northernmost part of the Philippines.
Been there last April and it seems like I was not in the Philippines.
Almost every part is a landscape or a seascape.
They have four season like other countries.
And to share the beauty of Batanes
I created a video presentation at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8exrtK_4rY
Have you been there or still planning to visit the place?

Enjoy watching the video.
It took me hours to create it to make sure anyone who'll watch it will see it again the next time. :)

I have made research way back about Batanes. It's an awesome place really! But i still can't go there. I need to save a decent amount of money, so I can survive prolly around a week there . Airfare only would cost you say 12-14thousand Philippine pesos 2-way, SeaAir is the only airline that caters flight to Batanes and of course, I wouldn't go there all by myself, I need company, the more the happier right?! So i have to wait for my friends to save up enough to join my endeavor (yeah they like to visit Batanes too). I just checked the March 6-12, 2012 Seair flights and they gave me a quote of 12,863.20 PHP per adult 2 way. I hope CebuPac considered to have flights going there, and include it whenever they have this "piso fare sale" What I'll do in Batanes once I get to be there would be, eat all their native delicacies- food in the province are so super delicious- they're classic!!!, and aside from checking the entire breathe taking views of mountains and seas, I plan to go SCUBA diving hehehe. Per blogs, Batanes underwater sights are one hell of a beauty... So help me GOD (TO SAVE!!!

You can try booking during promos of SEAIR. We got two-way tickets at seven thousand plus each. That's a lot of savings already so we can use what we've saved to tours and accommodations in Batanes.
I haven't heard there's scuba diving there.

The only places I have been to is Scotland, England (and I was too young to remember because I was born in Scotland.) I have been to the United States and most of Canada except the North West Territories. I =ant to go to Bermuda, but I am afraid the Phillipines is out of luck for me.

Thanks for the compliment.
It took me time to create the video online.
Actually that's one reason why I created the video - to convince more people to visit and appreciate Batanes. :)

I never been to Batanes. But this is one of the places I would love to visit. I find the landscape very attractive and serene. And also those houses made from rock. I wish I could visit this place by next summer.

Visit when you have the chance :)
Yes, the place is very serene. You feel safe their even if you leave your things anywhere.
The Ivatan people are honest that they have an Honesty Coffee shop. The owner of the shop just leave the store to the customer. Customers just leave their payment there.
Regarding the stone houses, people can actually sleep there at 150 pesos per night :)

The whole package is quite expensive but I can tell that it's really worth it.
When we went there other tourists were already in their old age.
Retiring age maybe?
Batanes is best enjoyed when people are still young since a lot of energy is needed for biking and hiking.
