Human produce tears for a variety of reasons. This emotional tears are produced in the grip of extreme emotions: sadness, anger and sometimes laughter. And thus we tend to produce emotional tears when we are injured.
There were also theories on why people cry emotional tears. Because there were proteins in tears and one of it are prolactin which are the same component in certain Hormones. When we perceive physical or emotional pain, these hormones may build and produce greater amount of tears. Thus people cry, and this release may be calming too, helping to restore mood.
And what is understood now is that crying, especially in periods of grief or strong emotion is often emotionally beneficial, as long as the person does not feel guilty for having displayed such emotions.
Why do men afraid of showing that they are crying?

I don't like to be seen crying because in most cases it's a sign of weakness. I think that's the main reason why people in general don't wanna see themselves cry.

yeah your partly right..but there were consequences in life that makes our tears fall..but that's not a sign of weakness..instead you are just showing your true emotions to such unbearable situations.
God Bless You...!!!Happy Mylotting..:-)))

Yeah, well how I understand crying is it's a product of built up frustration and helplessness inside. We cry because we feel bad and we can't do anything about it. Although in reality, I think there's always a solution to every problem. There's no situation where we can't do anything about it when it comes to managing our own states. So to put it simply, there's always an alternative to just crying it out, which is, at most, a waste of time to me.

Yes frontvisions, we can't do nothing about it. Because crying is already part of every humans life. Exactly I considered your opinion, each one of us has its free well to express it.

I think womens/girls are more emotional than men so men dont cry a lot like women does. people only cry when someone hurt their emotions or when getting apart from the loved ones, crying makes the heart light and thus our mood changes..

Yes Bikerboy, crying really uplift our spirit. It lightens us to the heavy weight we are taking up. And yes girls are more emotional than men, but it doesn't mean that men must not cry already. As human we must have to release all those unnecessary burden for us clear up our mind.
Thanks for the response. God Bless You.

sad that most men feel its to sissy to cry because of being told that as a child. because it definately does make us feel better. more men would probably be calmer if they could let go at times.

Yes bunnybon..it was a wrong perception in their part! But we can't blame them any way because that's what they really believe. For me it is still better to overflow all those emotions you have inside for you to restore your good mood. Not mentioning either you are a men or a women..
Thanks bunnybon..God Bless!!!!

Men are afraid of crying because they generally find it very difficult to express their emotions! I think there are some cultural beliefs that say that men should be strong and tough and not show any sign of weakness, but I don't agree with this - men should be able to cry just as much as women!!

I think crying helps a lot when you are feeling low.
Its one of the ways in which a human shows that he is a human.
But personally i dont like being seen crying.

Me I usually cried because of of pain or anger, yes it really helps a lot, feels better after I cried. but for men I saw some of them that are not shy to show that they are crying, on my opinion man that know how to express themselves in crying is more attractive than those pretending that they are strong and will not cry because they are a man. aren't they have feelings also?... I think it wont make them any less a man if they do.

Yes exactly, some men really think that they are weak if somebody would see them cry.
But aren't they human? Men and Women are the same in humanity aspects. We both release fluids in our body. And those men that are pretending they are strong are those that are weaker inside..
God Bless Flowerfest..thanks for the response :-))))

Yes and I believe that those men who doesn't show emotions are those that are weaker inside. Because if we thus show what we really feel is a great sign of being healthy and that's my views..
Thanks and God Bless!!!! Happy Mylotting

Tears you say they are related with some hormones and some thing. So what hormones are there for the cause of the pain. This cannot be said.
If everything is linked with theories then for some things we should write our own theory. Some things or some feelings are invisible to our naked eye.

hello meryll! i think men can cry but they are too afraid to show it cause they will be teased by other. but then, yes we all have to release that feeling when we have to cry. we just had to do it. it also depends on how the person really reacts with the situation. sometimes they just tend to keep their emotions and cry from deep inside. but then we don't know what does they do when they are alone. maybe that's the moment they try to release those kept emotions. men can be strong but then they also cry.
i have heard it's still better for men to cry cause it's not the matter of strength when you release your emotions. it's just being human. letting your emotions out and being strong at once.

Hi ann!! thanks for that nice response! as a human being crying is already part of our life! It is one of our human waste on which we much have to pour out!! Yes for the men they don't want to cry its because they don't want other people, think that they lost already their masculine factor.. but for me its not really the basis because all of us must have to release those emotions for us to calm down.
God Bless you.. Happy Mylotting!!:-)))))

Hi,
I feel to agree with your views to an extent. I whatever way, there may be certain scientific reasons and psychological remedies as well. Whatever reason, I am sure that the cry would help in various ways. Those things which all are happening naturally or automatically, it is really meant for it. Whatever we do could be the next immediate solution or remedy for the action. So the action the reaction justifies the cause and it resolves by its own. Now we may have so much of reasons, but when we (the living being) started living, there were no inventions or anything like. So, the nature itself has its own way of remedies for each action and we just need to identify now.
Not only cry, almost every feelings what we have, has its own continuation and if we closely observe, we can easily understand the same. This is not only for human beings, but even with animals also. In short, I think the nature is fully prepared for everything, only what we need to do is just be passive to it and which ultimately could lead to a better living.
Thanks for such a nice discussion topic.
Regards,
Thank-s

why people cry so many reasons why a person can cry.
Anger anguish pain suffering.
but there are tears of joy and satisfaction.
Sometimes we cry to work out his soul to be able to relax.
Tears are part of our life can not always be joy and songs.
but also relieve our tears many times and lower part of the pain.
men cry but most of them just do not want to show that they cry because they think they look so weak and pathetic.
But sometimes one needs to cry.
very nice discussion.
nice day!

Hello.. :)
I think, men are afraid to show that they're also weak emotionally that's why they refuse to show their tears to anyone. To them, it will somehow lessen their masculinity if they do so. :)
But, I think, if ever I see a man cry in front of me and show to me what he really feels, I would admire him. For he has the courage to express what he feels. He's being true to himself. :)

We men are afraid to show that we are crying because it is an embarrassment to us if someone see us cry. We just want to show that we are strong and maintain it that way.

As a therapist, I have often encouraged people to cry, and it just happens to be that most who have a problem with this are men. It is because if we cry when we are kids on the sports field or somewhere, that we are laughed at by other boys and teachers etc. So it gets pushed into us that it is not a manly thing to do. But crying is a natural release and it is not good to suppress tears when we feel that our emotions have been triggered in such a way.
As part of my training in therapy, much of my conditioning was negated, and I found it easier to cry. When it first happened, it was a struggle, but I could feel all the pent-up tension release as it happened. I remember in the seminar we were dealing with buried emotions from the past and all the men in the class cried. Feeling silly at first, but then realizing the beneficial natural function of crying.
The conditioning is still there to be brave and stand up and face my problems "like a man", but not so strong now. I think it could also have an effect on our life span as on average, women, because they are not so repressed, live longer than men. _Derek

one thing I do know for certain is that there is a chemical released when a person cries that cannot be released in any other way, or so, I have heard.I would have to research this, to discover what exactly happens when we cry, biologically speaking, however, I think that nature has probably a good reason for allowing us to express emotion this way. It would be fun to think about what evolutionary purpose it serves.

Our creator provided us with tear glands so that we can cry. Tear glands are circuit breakers that secrete tears when we are overcharged with emotion - hurt, pain, anger, joy, etc. There is nothing with crying it's not something to be ashamed of. It is not a sign of weakness, but a natural response to stimulus. Men and women cry, although some do not want to admit it. Hurt? Go ahead, cry it out for your own sake!

I think a man's not showing emotions such as crying is a learned behavior dictated by society. Children both girls and boys do cry when hurt, sad, happy, etc. Somehow, it is only in adolescence that boys try to hold back the tears so as to appear more masculine. Good thing I'm a woman. Hahaha . Huhuhu

When we got hurt or felt uncomfortable it is good to relieve us through crying.but i am a people who don't like to receal my emotion in public,so i tend to hide my tear in my heart and i will try my best to keep calm.when i recall the grief in the quiet place,i become more sensible so comared with crying out loudly,i'd like to come up a solution to resolve it.Btw i should say that i am a girl.haha
