What makes technology change every minute?

Why does technology change so rapidly? Does it mean that it gets old so easily?
Almost everyday you get to reading some innovations in the the different aspects of technology.
It changes so fast but when it comes to its implementation of the changes that happen it is very very slow. Is it possible that I.T. can also slow down to at least wait for its implementation first before it will change?
The mind is so fast that the physical attributes of the person finds it hard to cope with it. If this is so, then we keep on running after technology everyday that makes life so stressful.

Aside from what other responders have mentioned., there is also the factor of knowledge. Remember that technology is a product of knowledge that is used for practical purposes. If people continue their quest or knowledge and began developing and applying it to everyday life, technology happens. If there is too much knowledge and too many applications for technology, people will have many options on how to integrate these technologies in their lives.
I'm not really concerned about the rapid pace of technology becuase it is quite expected. What I don't get is that people rush to get the latest technology is the said application cannot offer something new or an evolution in a person's life.

I agree with you jeanneyvonne though not all people has the 'fever' to get the latest technology, many are very eager to own one of the latest in town. Is it because they can afford to buy or simply because they just like it. Are they not aware their 'whims' can contribute to 'techonological trash"? I hope that they would be awaken by this thought in the near future.:-)

Technology change rapidly because of man's never ending wants and needs. It change because we want it and we are allowing it by buying and havnig interest on technology. It is intended to make man's life better and easier. Technology changes with time. Companies earn from it and we, despite the price get so curious and buy. This reaction made by us is the reason why technology change, because we can't stop wanting for something better.

There's a saying that the only constant on this earth is change. One of the reasons may be is the never ending demand for new products by the consumers, and the never ending hunger of business owners for more money!
