Yesterday my husband and I went shopping. My husband wanted to find some new t-shirts, and we looked at many different one, but he couldn't find a t-shirt that he liked.
In his opinion there was something wrong with all of them except one and that t-shirt wasn't available in his size. This seems to be general problem when my husband and I go shopping together.
He simply can't find something that he likes, and when he finally buys something he often regrets his purchase when we get home because he doesn't like it anyway. I can be picky as well for instanse if I am looking for new shoes, but I am not as picky as my husband.
Are you a picky shopper or is it usually easy for you to find something you like? Are there any shops where you find it especially hard to make up your mind? Do you often regret your purchases when you return to your home?

I am a picky shopper when it comes to shoes. Whenever I purchase shoes I have to return the next day because I realized that I had made a mistake purchasing this. I don't know why shoes have to my biggest problem.

It is interesting that you both mention shoes because I have the same experience. I am very picky when I buy new shoes and sometimes I walk from place to place because I just don't find the shoes that I am looking for. I have a pretty specific taste and there are many shoes that I don't like. One of my friends always laughs at me when we go shopping together because he knows that it is so hard to find some shoes that I like.

I don't the reason too, but shopping for shoes is not easy for me. I'm always very picky when I'm buying new shoes, specially boots. I need to love the boots otherwise I don't buy, because I know I'm going to regret myself.

I think the reason that I may be picky when it comes to buying shoes is because it's hard for me to find a shoe that goes with majority of my outfits. I don't want to buy shoes that just match with one outfit only, cause that will just be a waste of money.

Can said, i am quite a picky shopper since i only wear clothes that suits my taste and color. I think i am used to it, since from when i was still young. That's why, when i go shopping in the clothes department, most of the time i ended-up didn't buy any clothes for myself. I only buy clothes for my hubby and son instead. i feel hard to make my choice when come to clothes.

When I buy clothes I am usually able to find something that like, but it depends on the shop and the things I am looking for. Sometimes I also walk from shop to shop without buying anything. Last time it happened I had to find a dress for a party, and I just couldn't find anything that I liked. I ended up wearing one of my old dresses instead

Pity to hear it. Same here, if i can't find my favorite clothes in the department store where i do my shopping, i will ended-up wearing my old clothes. Sometimes, i just don't have the time to spend shopping around, since i like to do last minute shopping...

Yes I am a picky shopper. If I can't find the style and color that I like I would rather not buy. There are times when I'd go to the shop and stay there for a couple of hours only to go home empty handed because I was unable to find what I want. But there are days I'd go home with so many purchases because I find some many items that I really like.

I often experience the same thing. Sometimes I go shopping and end up buying nothing because I don't find anything that I like, and some days I find a lot of things that I want to buy and return with my hand full of shopping bags Right now I am trying to spend less money on shopping in my own country because I want to save up some money for shopping when I travel to the UK. I hope that I will find some nice things there and I also want to buy gifts for my friends.

I do not do a lot of shopping. I go to buy something only when I really need to... When I shop, I am very picky though. It has nothing to do with saving money or looking things with value for money, it's just that I want the object I am going to buy to be long lasting because I really don't like to shop for the same thing over and over again.

It is a good idea to look for longlasting things when you go shopping. I am tired of buying things that fall apart after a short while, and I have become more careful when I decide which things I am going to buy. Some things aren't really worth the money because they don't last that long. It is annoying when you have to buy the same thing over and over because they weren't as good as you thought.

I like to use the word selective. I'm a very selective shopper when it comes to shoes. I think it's because I'm look for shoes with specific features but I can't seem to find it. For example, I'd love a pair of plain 1-3 inch heeled ankle boots, with a rounded toe, a side zip and in faux leather. It sounds pretty easy to find, but I still haven't found such a boot after looking for over a year. There is always some detail missing from it. I've tried to settle with other boots, but I'm not satisfied with those, and it feels like I'm wasting my money.
Even with other things like clothing I think I'm still selective, but I still manage to find things easier. Maybe because there seem to be more of them around than shoes.

I understand what you mean. I also to look for something specific when I want to buy new shoes. I know exactly what I am looking for, but that isn't always a good thing, because it makes it pretty hard to find something that I like. There are many shoes that I don't like because there is something "wrong" with them seen from my point of view, and some of the details are different from the shoes I am looking for. My friends tend to lose their patience with me if we visit a shoe shop together, because I can't find some shoes that I like.

when i go shopping,i usually take time so that i can pick those things i like most. i usually spend half day on shopping together with my girlfriend. when i bought a thing that is in a rush i usually regret after i bought it. that's why i spend half day on shopping so that i can think over and over again.are you in a rash when you buy something?do you often list those things that you want to buy?

I think it is a good idea to take your time when you want to buy something. When we are in a rush we might regret the things that we buy. When I want to buy something I like to have plenty of time and I like to visit more than one shop especially if I am looking for new clothes and new shoes. When I want to buy clothes I often visit the big city on the neighbour island, because there are more shops to choose from. Sometimes I make a list when I plan which things to buy and sometimes I just visit the shops. If I want to buy many different things I often make a list so that I don't forget anything.

i am. if i am to buy shoes, it'll take me an hour or so.. i have to check all shoe store in the mall and go back to the one i kind of like and then transfer to another.. until i get tired and pay. sometimes i spend hours and go home with nothing. hehehe..
even with my grocery, there are things that i don't buy cause am hoping i'll get a better one from other store. or sometimes i have to compare a product between 2 brands..

I also like to visit one than one shoe store before I decide what to buy. If I find some shoes that I like I notice the name of the store so that I will be able to return and then I continue to the next shoe store to see if I like their shoes better One of friends tends to lose his patience with me we go shopping together, because sometimes I don't find anything that I like. It is usually easier for to find clothes that I like, but I am picky when I have to buy shoes.

I don't know if the word was picky, but I know what I like and whenever I see it for the first time, I will really try it out and check the size and I never regret what I buy after I have checked it, I never remembered any single purchase that I regret. I was really happy on what I purchase before I go home.
About hubby I am the one picking for his shirts and office attire. He can buy also choose what he likes whenever I am not around or I was on vacation in my country, but my hubby is never choosy when it comes to choosing what he likes but of course obviously size will really matter.

I have never bought clothes for my husband. There are too many things that he doesn't like and it would be really hard to pick the right clothes for him. We usually go shopping together and I try to help him, but it isn't easy.
I sometimes regret the clothes that I buy, fortuneately it doesn't happen that often. My husband often regrets his purchases. He thinks that he has found the perfect shirt or the perfect pants, but once we return to our home he discovers that he doesn't like the clothes anyway.

I'm not picky at all. Except for shoes, they HAVE to be Geox ones. Other than that, as long as it fits, I don't care.

I am also picky when I buy shoes. I don't look for a specific shoe brand, but there are many kinds of shoes that I don't like and sometimes it is hard to find some shoes that I want to buy. My friends usually get tired of me when I walk from shop store to shore store, but I don't want to buy something that I don't like.

I am a picky shopper. I don't usually buy right away, unless I really want what I saw. I would go window shopped first and go to different stores before choosing what to buy. I had this experience when I need something, I would go around first and I would end up buying nothing and have to go home cause it's already late. I do want to change this kind of behavior since I know I've wasted time going around. As much as I can, I don't like regretting what I bought that's why I really have to think and have second thoughts before buying anything.

My husband often experiences the same thing as you. He visits many different shops but when he returns to our home he hasn't bought anything. Sometimes we go shopping together because we want to buy some new clothes for him, but we end up buying some clothes for me instead, because he doesn't find anything that he likes

Yes, I admit that I am a picky and choosy shopper especially when it comes to my clothes and shoes. I am critical of the products in stores and I really try to squeeze in the best value for my money. I think that there is nothing wrong with it but a main disadvantage of it is that I consume a lot of time trying to choose the most suitable item for me and sometimes I end up not buying anything. But when I do like something I usually grab it as fast as I can because I know it will be hard to find that one again. I don't regret my purchases when I get home because I know I've been already critical in the shopping stage already.

That is true, when we are very picky or critical, the disadvantage is the time that we spend in the shops. Sometimes when I want to buy new shoes I spend a lot of time walking from shop to shop because I don't find any shoes that I like. I feel that I waste too much time that way, on the other hand I don't want to buy something that I don't really like and I don't want to buy low quality things. My husband is even more critical than me and most of the time he doesn't buy anything.

I'm also a picky shopper, but not that picky usually if I like the design and it fit perfectly on my body then it's alright. once in awhile I do regret my purchase also but it's because sometimes I didn't really need it but I bought it and it means that I need to control my allowance for a month.

I also regret my purchase sometimes, but I try to avoid that situation especially at the moment because I want to save up money for a trip. Sometimes ago I saw a dress in a shop and I bought it, but later on I regretted it, because I didn't like it as much as I thought, and I wished that I had saved my money for something else. From now on I will be more careful, because it is important to me to save up a part of salary.

I don't really care about other people's opinions either. I buy the things that I like, my own opinion is the most important thing when I want to decide what to buy. Sometimes I walk from shop to shop for a long time, because it is hard for me to find some clothes or some shoes that I like. There are a lot of things that I don't like and sometimes that makes it a little complicated to find something that I want to buy

I wish I were able to say the same, because I sometimes regret the things that I buy. Last time it happened I bought a dress, it wasn't too expensive, but it was still pretty annoying and I decided to be more careful in the future.

I have to say I am pretty picky, meaning I don't like a lot of things and I have very specific taste. But once I do find stuff I like, I am not afraid to buy them since I know it is so rare and I seldom regret getting anything.
I don't mind being this way though, it saves me money I guess and I don't end up having tons of things I don't use or wear like some people. So I can't complain....

You sound a lot like me. I also have a very specific taste and there are many kinds of clothes and shoes that I don't like. When I buy something I am usually happy about the things that I have bought. Every once in a while I buy some clothes that I don't wear, because I discover that they don't really suit me, but it doesn't happen that often. I don't want to have to a lot of clothes in my closet that I am not going to wear so when I buy something that I regret I usually give it away to friends or to charity.

I rarely regret of something that I buy, usually this happen when I buy something on promotion. I'm a little picky on my clothes and shoes (specially shoes..it's very hard to find a shoe for me). I can go to all the malls of my city and don't buy nothing at all.

Most of the time I don't regret the things that I buy, but it happens every once in a while. Last time it happened a bought a dress that was on sale. I wasn't able to try it on before I bought it, but is was cheap and it was my size so I bought it anyway. When I got home I tried it on and it looked pretty awful, and I regretted buying it, but I wasn't able to return it to the shop so I donated it to charity instead. Like you I am picky when I have to buy shoes, and it is often hard for me to find some shoes that I like.

i think you are perfectly entitled to be a bit fussy about what you buy when you go shopping, if the shop doesn't have what you want don't buy something just because its there.
i do find though, that there are some shops i like better than others. i definitely have favourite shops.
i used to find it incredibly hard to buy jackets though, i could never find one i liked, and i would buy one and get it home and then not like it. but i find it easier to find one i like now, but i think that was more to do with me than to do with any shop, as i didn't know what suited me, or what i liked.
maybe your husband just doesn't know which tee shirt was the best one for him.

I think that is difficult for my husband to find clothes that he really likes. There are many colours and designs that he doesn't like and it is extremely important to him that his clothes are comfortable. Sometimes he thinks that he likes something and when we get home he discovers that there is something wrong with the clothes and he doesn't want to wear the shirts or the pants that he just bought. I never buy clothes for him because it is really difficult to find something that he likes.
