We meet friends ever since we are very young, at different situations. Where did you meet your best friend and how did you meet he or she?
I met my best friends at the two secondary schools I went to, one in HK and the other one in the UK. Those I met in HK are my teamates in St John Ambulance. We used to practice together very often and participate in competitions together as a team. Therefore, we experience quite a lot, spending both happy and unhappy moments. They were also my classmates in secondary 1.
After going to the UK for my study, I met 3 best friends in my house. We live together but I did not have any lesson with any of them. However, we spent a lot of time together outside school. We joined activities together and we participated in house events together as well. I might say they have helped me quite a lot in adapting the new environment in the UK because they accompanied me and supported me a lot.
Would you mind sharing your experience with your best friend/friends with me?

I met one of my long term friends through my dad.My dad was working with a girl, who was not that familiar with the area, so he was showing her all the places where she lived, when all of a sudden he had a call to say that i was giving birth to my first daughter. With the news that i was in hospital the girl drove my dad to the hospital and waited with him for news.Once i was all sorted dad came in and i told him to go bring the girl in, as i wanted to thank her for driving him to the hospital. We have been good friends every since, my dad passed away over 2 years ago and she was there to support me.Then a few months ago she lost her dad as well, i also was there to support her.

I've met my only true best friend in primary school, when we were little kids. Back then we would fight many times, but in the end, we were friends. Nowadays we still talk and go out together. He supported me in my worst times many times, such as when I went through a severe depression some months ago. He made a huge difference in my life.

I met my best-friend when I was 7 yrs old, they move here on our neighbor from province, and since we're neighbor our parents become friends and so we are. we been to same school since elementary until now that we are in college. we've shared so many things together from craziness to fun and sadness too, but like other friendship we do have our misunderstanding too, but because we are neighbor and our family and her family are friends, we could talk any misunderstanding easily.

I had a close neighbour who played with me a lot when I was young. Yet, she has moved to live at somewhere else with her parents. Though we still meet each other about once a year, we do not have much to talk as we used to be. However, my mum and her mum can still talk a lot when they meet each other.

Meeting friends is something for me that just randomly happens. When I went to Quebec, I lived with 3 guys as well. It was weird, after the first hour or so we were laughing and having so much fun. It's like living with other people, and being in the same situation triggers a mind set that the people that your sharing a hotel room are your support and new friends. So yeah, I those three guys are still my bets friends.

I met my best friend at our youth group at church. Her brother and I were friends and then I became friends with her. We have been friends for almost 30 years and I think that we have as much to talk about now as we did then. I haven't seen her in a few years, but I would like to visit her. We talk almost on a weekly basis, but it is not the same as seeing each other.

It will be exciting for you to see your best friend who you have not met for ages. I find it sometimes qutie difficult to keep in touch with friends as we do not always go to the same school or some of them will move some day though I have stayed in where I am now living for more than 15 years.

Well, my best friend from college stayed in touch with me, and when I met my partner, my best friend became our best friend. We used to go out to the pub with him all the time, and it was just really great having such a close friend.
After my partner had known my best friend for a while, my friend called me and said that he would bring another friend with him, if it was ok.
Basically 2 girls showed up. My best friend's friend from school had come along, and she didnt want to feel like a gooseberry so she brought another friend too. We got to know these 2 girls over the evening, and swapped numbers.
The friend that my best friend knew is now my very very best friend. I tell her absolutely anything. Since we met her, she met a lovely guy - We went to their wedding and we're always going round to see them now, and their new baby. They are now my best friends since the guy who was originally my best friend has now moved away to be with his girlfriend and their own baby.
I really hope that now my best friend and her husband have a baby that they will still stay in touch with me and my partner, as I love her and her family very much.

I met mine from high school. We were seatmates and we liked each other. We share the same interests. We started by going to other classes together, we eat together. Go home together. We even tell each other what time we will go to school the next day. Then we started to go to each other's house to study and do lessons together.
I can say that upto this day, we never argued about anything yet. We complement each other. Her weak points are my strong ones and vice versa. I miss her so much and I am happy to have a bsst friend like her.
When one of us has a problem... we will talk to each other if we cannot be together... We treat each other like sisters, and now that I am married, no matter how far I am, she is still the same her I met 9 years ago...

I meet my best friends during grade school. We are close until now and we communicate through facebook regularly. Some of them are based outside my country but some stayed behind. It's good to have friends who know you because they remind you when you are not yourself, they share to you problems and you get the opportunity to help out, they support and defend you and they will always love you and accept you for who you are.

I like the point they remind you when you are not yourself because we sometimes get lost when we are under our emotion or certain circumstances. Facebook is an amazing tool in keeping in touch with friends and searching for our old friends though it is still very important to keep in touch with our friends through other ways or even better physically but facebook is definitely a good choice if these are not available.

I met my friends everywhere. In school, parties, thru common friends, church, mall, etc. But I only have one best friend. I met her in school. We didn`t mesh well at first but when I got to know her, I found out that we had a lot of things in common.

I experienced something similar with you as well. I had a classmate in kindergarten who we used to argue a lot. However, we got very well to each other after a few months and not very long after we become very close friends, she has moved to another kindergarten to continue her study because she did not like our class teacher as she was very strict. Then, we did not contact each other until I had entered the secondary school. I met her elder sister in the secondary school as she was my house captain but I did not know that that was her sister until I saw them walking together one morning to take the school bus. I had never seen them coming together for the school bus as we had different schedule for our school buses as my old best friend was in a different school to me and her sister. I realised that was her elder sister after asking her elder sister about this. However, I did not have much to talk to my old best friend after so many years and we lose our contact after her sister has graduated from my school.
