"Please do not read any Mylot Admins Information!!"

I was reading the host of questions about the simplest of simple parts of using Mylot and got to thinking what if Mylot would put Up this sign "Please do not read any MyLot Admins Information" !!! Could that move newcomers and some old comers to stop and read all the information out of curiosity? I mean people naturally do love to break rules even on the net.Whats your take, fellow mylotters?

My first laugh for a week on here Hatley! You might have made the discovery of the century! It seems that so many don't bother to read what they are agreeing to when they register. Others are dishing out information to users who are asking questions - but where they are getting their information from beats me If this is a sign of what the future holds then it's really grim. Offline these people will be voting for the governments that will be in place in years to come - what a thought

I saw that discussion about duplicate responses and what was said I have also seen far too many older Lotters responding to others saying that until they reach 500 no-one can add photos Why do they give out incorrect information and do they really think they will earn for doing so?

hi diana lol right I never thought about that. yes these same p eople will be voting for our politicians then wondering why we have got such God Awful people in office. loll I learned the hard way to always read all the paperwork when buying huge things like houses or cars. as a result of our not reading all the various papers carefully before signing on our first house we had a lump sum of 500 dollars which now days does not sound like much but back then seemed a fortune. but we got refinanced so all was well. Now in mylot I am amazed at intelligent people who do not read any of the paperwork then scream when they lose earnings or have other unpleasant things happen , then of course they blame it all on mylot.Like this one question about how to delete an extra copy of a response or comment? and people here were telling others there is no way to do that. wrong if they had read the info they would have known about the second use for the exclamaiton point.

I have no idea. I would not read the information myself, but newcomers might. Then I hardly read guidelines not because they are guidelines but because I believe they are all the same and when they are bit long and involved, I get rather tired. Like things short and to the point unless it is a novel. Now if the administration wrote, "The guidelines at mylot are different from other writing sites. Here are how they are different." Then I would read them.

I think it was something like that, but I started to take some herbal medicines at the same time. My doctor was sort of a pill pusher. He would prescribe pills for anything and he was rather dramatic in his announcements like "you have cancer," to my husband "You had a stroke," He even gave me pills for high blood pressure. They were just temporary and only for a week, and then he said that they were permanent. He got me mixed up with another lady. And when I went to get my knee cap fixed, they took my blood pressure and guess what? Normal. My waist is 38 inches. Tried to get it down lower, but unfortunately for that to happen I have to go into a time warp and go back to when I was younger.

hi susepenseful oh thats great 38 and I am much larger. wouldnt it be nice if we did have a time warp and could get back our gyounger figures . oh if only I had known in my fifties that being overweight can lead to type two diabetes I would have kept my weight down to what it was in my thirties I had a 28 inch waistline then long time ago now.I am glad for you that your blood pressure was normal. I vary now when I had that horrendous fall the day after Valentines day my bp was 125 yet I will go to my doctor it will shoot up to 150, go figure. I am taking three different meds for high blood pressure and you know I have been on these for years, now what if I did not really need them? I mean nobody here ever checks my blood pressure. some ot the things you said m ade me wonder about houw my doctor keeps me on the same meds for years? well must go.take care.

hi suspenseful hope you can get a lot of joy out of the piano. I would so love to know how to play and have a piano too. I am glad you have become more healthy.my hips are my greasted problem as I am hippy and always have been but it much worse now.I dont have a 34 inch waist either but I am full blown diabetic but since that doc tor in the er upped my metformin to 1000 twice aday my blood sugar readings are really great. now if I could just lose some weight. some doctors do put prediabetics on metformin, was wondering if yours did? i agree that these sites most all of them make the information much too long. if they could tighten up the word count I think more people would gladly read the info,I am afraid to check my waist as its sure not 34. I just wish losing weight was as easy for me as it is for my son. I think male metabolism burns up calories faster then us women's metabolism does. Yes some are obviou s but one poster today copied a whole set of things to avoid to keep fron getting a virus on y our computeryou would think common sense would tell y ou not to copy word for workd some else's work? lol,

hi chipesterkhan oh my I have shook some up as they did not realize I was joking but semi serious that we need to get people to really read all the mylot information so they know what the heck they are doing before starting one discussion and chancing that it will break a rule and be deleted. if they knew the rules before hand then they would make good discussions and we would respond then they would come back and comment on all our discussions, thus earning a little real money.

hi chipesterkhan yes thats true I went four y ears without having a disc ussion delted then I made the error of getting insulted by a weird so called joke by this other mylotter but it did not sound very joking to be accused of lieing about my age. I mean why lie if you are elderly? so ajyway I did learn from it as everyone was sticking up for me and someone went too far and insulted the socalled joke maker so she asked to have it deleted and they did. I did not care except for all my many friends who lose earnings when that was deleted as I had a lot of responses to it. I think the person who made that joke might have also learned a few things too. I checked myfriends list and she was not on it. so that saved me deleting her. I know now that she is not ever going to be a friend to me so avoid her and her posts.so I learned some thing just do not belong in a forum discussion.getting too personal with peopleon here is a terrible idea so I have learned.

Good question... Maybe that would make more people read the information first before coming in here all the time, and the New people always asking about or talking about the same things. Yes, we do know that it is quality over quantity, etc. but even when you try and explain some of this some of these same people are the same ones that continue to break all the rules.

hi tina yes people get curious when they are told not to do something as then that's just what they want to do. it might work. what gets me is the lazy people who tell me oh i wont read that boring stuff as I can get all the info from you older ones. fine we are supposed to sit here all day and repieat the information that they are too "bored and lazy" to do for them selves.Maybe they actuallylove to have posts deleted.?

hi tina yes it really does make you wonder if they think no matter what they do they will get them deleted? but did it ev er dawn on any of them to just read the rules, know them and do not make discussions that break the rules.I know that mylot will takes the earnings back if the discussion is deleted so why don't they just learn the rules? grrrrrrrrr.I mean say you earn a dollar then mylot sees it breaks the rule, they seriously do not think they are going to keep that dollar? maybe they do but come on it will be deleted too.

hi celticeagle my hubby hated to ask for direcitons if he was confused in driving Icould never understand that. we were trying to find something and spent an hour searching for it and finally I called to a lady walking Past. I said"Ma'am could you tell us how to get to a restaurant called the Three Little Pigs. She laughed, and answered" Oh yes we used to eat there but it burned down a year ago,.was never rebuilt. You are just a block from where it used to ber. But why not try The Bright Spot , its right behind you and has excellent food." I thanked her and we finally got to eat. I also have to know how to use a site so I just naturally read all the information,

That was how my ex was. I can remember driving around Seatle on our last day of our vacation. He was looking for some certain place. We drove around the same area for about three hours. I was so tired and hungry. I like to know what is expected of me in most situations so I read the guidelines and FAQs so I know. I think others may not care. I really do doubt alot of them care.

This is a great reminder to all the mylot members. I agreed that we should always read and read the rules, to avoid getting any deduction in earnings as well as deletion of discussions. Sometimes, out of curiosity i had posted some discussions about Mylot and got deleted. At first, i am quite angry as why it had been deleted as for me, it may seems like a normal discussions. After i had take some times to read through the rules, then only i realized my mistakes. It seems that, every site have their own rules, which their members need to obey from time to time.

Since you posted more than 43000 posts and i really wonder that you are speaking about breaking the rule.. Why my friend??? It is our duty to obey the rules and regulations of this site.. Anything will become harmful to us if we break the rule whether in online or offline that doesn't matter.. Its just depends upon the severity of issues.. I agree the natural view about people which you came up with this discussion. People loves breaking the rules in many things like traffic signals, driving fast in the city limit, Even in online breaking the rules, etc., In people's general point of view its just a fun for them.. Their only thing is.. We should not harm others, other than we can do anything even in online.. But in my view, It is also wrong thing.. Should obey the rules in all aspects and we should be a good example in both online and offline

balaji85in I was being sarcastic and hoped my dear friends here would realize I was joking in that if people were told not to do something we wanted them to do, maybe they would do it just because they were told not to do it. a bit of sarcasm . I was not seriously saying people should break any rules, not at all. I am not a rule breaker , on the contrary I read all the mylot information before making my first post and have reread over the years as there were a few changes. I am sorry if you and some other misunderstood my intentions.this is supposed to be a tongue in cheek bit of spoof intended to get people to READ ALL THE MYLOT INFORMATION FOR THEMSELVES INSTEAD OF ASKING QUESTIONS OF US OLDER ONES. This was not to be taken seriously,I was joking. Of course we are supposed to obey the rules and be a good example and I do and I think I aml all i was trying to do is get people's attention and I got yours did I not?

oh myno indeed not yyyeeell I am just anothermy lotter who has been here long enough to know that if all of us read all the mylot information instead of groaning its too dull ,blah blah, then we would not have a dozen discussions deleted because we did not know we had broken the rules because we did not take time to read what they were. my G if one bought something that needed to be assembled would you not read all the instructions that came with it about how to put it together and how to use it whatever it was? of course, well consider the my lot admins information as instructions on how to use mylot and that it answers all the questions you keep asking us.read the info for yourself and get true info, ask mylotters and no two will give you the proper answer, why because few really read all the mylot info so they give wrong information.

I reckon that's a spot on idea dragon. Or if members had to sign off to say they had read the guidelines, TOS and FAQ then when they go against the directives they receive a penalty which could be a suspension (for a day or so) or a fifty cent fine or something along those lines.

i guess people has this nature of curiosity so i am sure even mylot tells us not to, there are people who will surely take a peep. i am one of those who follow rules but i can not promise that i can do that all the time. specially if i smell somthing fishy har har har. when my wife tells me stop opening her email i always wonder why. then i will find myself sneaking and trying to access it har har har. but funny the only reason why she told me not to open her email is because sometimes i get carried away and delete some messages for sometimes i mistaken it for my own email account. i know hatley you are going to freak out on me... by the way how are you? i've been away from mylot for so many reasons that kept me busy with work and with my son. but i am happy that when i opened my email the first discussion i saw was yours.

I just was playing mind games and wondered if mylotters were told not to read all the information maybe then we would not get all the dozens of questions from newcomers as they wou ld learn what to do and how to do it and all the answers. wow.

hi shibham yes specially in this time of poor economy all over money is on all our minds but if theres any way to get all who come here to our great mylot to stop long enough to r ead the guidelines and all the other helpful information then they will understand why we older ones beg and plead please read the information as it will answer all your questions before you start mylotting. It is a lot like going in to take a test, if you have studied the material in the test it will be easy to take it, but if you just merely glances at it you will fail, so being prepared with the information you need to make posts you will not have wasted your time and got posts deleted. everyone groans the information is too long or is boring bu t if they read it it tells them how to make discussions and all the other things they end up wanting us older ones to digest the info then spoon feed it to them.another thing is if you read it from mylots information you will get the correct info but if you depend on us mylotters for the info you could get information that is not true. so read it for yourself.
