The Debt Ceiling "Crisis"

Continuing in the vein of the deception and destruction that besets America this day, the deliberate destruction of our economy is foremost on the agenda of the usurper and his ilk. It is the most potent form of terrorism, jihad, destruction of western civilization from within.
Granted, we have set ourselves up for this, but we must repent now in thought and deed, or "self-destruct" as a nation.
Rahm Emanuel said, "Never waste a good crisis." Adolf Hitler invented "crises" and blamed "perceived" enemies. And remember the Grand Mufti-Hitler alliance. We refuse to learn the lessons of history which are now repeating themselves.

Obviously both sides are clearly at fault for this current situation. I want to mention that the discussion you posted about free speech somehow disappeared... nice. I promise that I did not cause it to be removed, although somebody did, so I hope they are praising their God that they censored somebody. Karma will get them in the end.
The problem with this being called a 'crisis' is that if it really WERE a crisis, the government folks would wake up and smell the corpses... I mean the coffee. Obviously, based on how they are acting, what they are (not) doing, it is not a crisis. The word crisis is beginning to mean nothing in this day and age. Hearing the word doesn't even make me blink any more. EVERYTHING is a crisis. From having to upgrade to a digital tv because analog signal is being discontinued to the oil spill to the price of gas to how upset people get when they stand in line to buy a stupid iPhone and Best Buy runs out.
By the way, I can tell you are also anti-obama, anti-secular, anti-free speech...? How is that for ya? Helping you prove your point much?

Thanks, mommy for your comment re the "free speech" discussion.
It was kind of you to even care.
I am not anti-free speech. We who care to talk about God and our theistic and conservative beliefs are always censored. Those who espouse liberal and anti-God views are given free reign by the lamestream media.
I am very definitely anti-Obama/Soetoro/Dunham/Soebarkah, criminal traitor and usurper, dual national and probably illegal alien, unconstitutional de facto "president", forger, identity theft stealer, and much worse.
Unfortunately we now have the most corrupt government I've been aware of in my lifetime. They are intent on subjugating and enslaving their constituency and enriching themselves rather than doing their duty to serve and protect us.

please keep in mind that raising the debt ceiling is and has always been a single sheet of paper, pro forma process, passed about 70 times in the past decade with no other ammendments attached. the gop, in order to force cost cutting on the congress, added amendments to the bill.
the cost cutting is certainly needed, as is an increase in revenue, but this is not the place and time to have that fight.
not raising the debt ceiling may cause dire results in our economy, in fact, markets are already reacting.
a couple of things should be done. pass the raising of the debt ceiling bill with a simple ammendment that says cost cutting measures and revenue increases will be discussed and acted on within the next 9 months.
then get rid of the policy demanding action to raise the debt ceiling. few if any other countries have that requirement, they jusy pay their bills. our constitution covers that in the 14th amendment.

the debt ceiling is a threshold that marks the end of borrowing. it has to end somewhere. otherwise the US is leading to doom. at the current level, the US government needs extra fund immediately to repay its financial obligations to its creditors. it can only be done by lifting the debt ceiling. it is now clear to the government that it has to rein over its spending. the US government is in a bind.

Just a few weeks ago, I never believed that Congressional representatives elected to represent the people could act like such childish morons to make a point. Do they not understand the implications if America whose dollar is the world's reserve currency defaults on its obligations? Are they willing to throw the economy off the cliff to make Obama look bad to improve the GOP chances in 2012? Are they so ideologically self-rigtheous and sacrosanct in their beliefs that they've become blind to the economic hardships ordinary U.S. citizens could face if the credit markets and dollar collapse? Do they honestly believe that the country could ever pass a Balanced Budget Amendment before the debt ceiling should be raised? Do they not understand that we live in a politcal democracy where citizens have different points of view and compromise is a necessary function of effective government? Also, isn't it corrupt that 256 members of Congress would sign a written pledge with civilian Grover Norquist not to raise taxes under any circumstance to guarantee their re-elections?
I'm exasperated!
