Ok so i'm laying in bed trying to drift off to sleep but cant because some ugly bug has bitten all up my left calf in 6 places and its itchy as hell! Thats even with bug repellent! They are either midge bites or spider bites. Not sure.
Do you get bitten and what kinds of bugs do you get?

I mostly get mosquito bites, but I know occasionally I will get a spider bite. I think mosquito's really like me. I was outside the other night for about 45 minutes and I came back inside to at least 12 bites on my lower left calf. My son had the same thing. Same leg even. My daughter only had 1 bite that I have seen and she was out as long as I was.

la_chique,
Throughout my life, I have been bitten by many insects and animals even. The most common being our ever present - mosquitoes which of late has been a threat with the emergence of the Aedes mosquitoes, responsible for dengue fever. So, I suppose we just have to be careful and not take things for granted.
As for animals, I suppose it will have to be dogs where you will get nip even when they are my pets once in a while. However, I have to say the scariest one was a snake bite, which I did not even manage to see the type and you can imagine the medical follow-up which I thought would be the end of me. I do not about you, but I am fortunate that none of these nips had gotten me into deeper trouble.
I do hope that you are not being bitten by bed bugs or ticks which really need some kind of medical attention and/or treatment to prevent complications of an infection. So, do be careful and I hope that you will have it checked out.
Take care.

I was seriously thinking about this just a couple weeks ago. I was away on vacation and no one but me was bitten alive. So I come back home and the apartment was very stuffy, so my boyfriend opens a window and no one but me is bitten! Grrr, I get bitten just about anywhere by mosquitoes. I don't get why I am the only one all the time and everyone is never bitten and or maybe will only complain once but for me it is like I am sugar cane for the darn mosquitoes.

Ahhh!! I know exactly how you feel :( A couple weeks ago I went mountain biking with my boyfriend. It was near a small lake and it had just rained the night before and the mosquitoes were out like crazy. I hadn't even thought of bug spray so I was pretty much out on my own. Everytime I would take a break from biking, the mosquitoes would go on the attack. By the time I was done, I ended up going home with about 100 bites on each leg, 50 on each arm, and about 100 more on my back. It was horrible because at night when I wasn't being active, I would want to scratch the heck out of the bites. They even woke me up in the middle of the night because I was so itchy. Needless to say, I learned my lesson and the next time I went biking I sprayed my entire body-underneath my clothes and then on top of my clothes to give some extra protection.
