Hinduism is an interesting religion but it is not in the headline most of the time, majority of its followers are just peace loving and reasonable flock. It is another great religion of the world.

Those who burn the church and mosque are not Hindu, they are rioters who don't respect for all houses of worship including temple. You are only feed with the burning of church and mosque, because the inciter doesn't want you too see the burnign of Hindu temple too. Video clip sometime can be deceiving. . .Pal!!

Offlate media and anti-nationals highlight church burning and mosque being pulled down. but what they do not highlight is the reasons that led to it. its true VHP led kar sevaks did pull down the babri mosque. it was an unused place and there was nothing happening in it for over 50 years. babri mosque was built after the general of babar demolished the temple of Sri Ram and erected a mosque to prevent Hindus from visiting it. the intentions of the muslims were bad and criminal. it was demolished in December 1992. the score is settled and the recent High court verdict clearly states that it belongs to Hindus and there were archeological evidence to support it. when the Hindus gave hard evidence from archaeological findings, muslims were simply giving excuses after excuses till date without any intention of settling the matter by admitting that babar and his generals made mistake and they want to live in peace. As for the church burning, the modus operandi is the same across India. first, attack some promiment Hindu leader or their relatives. Then simply set fire to an old church structure after creating a tense situation. In the recent past, in 2008 many such incidents came to light in Karnataka region where the pastors and priests themselves set fire to their churches to claim compensation. In most cases the christian preiests were the ones who instigated the violence. The Kandhamal communal violence was started by the christians after they gunned down a Swamiji who was worked for the welfare of the forest tribes for more than 50 years which no christian missionary did. @lampar You are right. The inciter doesnt want anybody to see the other side of the picture. this is what criminals & vested interests do.

Hi parwaizkhan, Hinduism is one of the world's great religions but like all faiths, they have ideas that others find hard to understand. The cast system goes far back into history and hasn't yet changed but I feel that it will happen someday. Mahatma Gandhi was Hindu and he certainly felt that people were all equal. Blessings.

where did you get this statistics, parwaizkhan? if 40-50 percent are not allowed, that means 50-60 percent is allowed. how can that be? your argument is faulty.

Hinduism is an interesting belief system. It is unfortunate that they still follow the caste system. I thought that most places had done away with the discrimination. I believe that the belief is that through reincarnation, you move up and down the caste system according to how you lived your previous life. So, each person has a chance of coming back in another life at a higher caste. Not every faith treats its members as equals. Islam is a great example of that. Women have no status in that society. Christianity has come a long way in religious freedom. There was a time when only the rich had freedoms and women had no status. Now everyone is pretty much equal. The same is true of Judaism.

Hi Adoniah, The hope given in Hinduism about a lower caste person moving up to the higher caste through reincarnation cannot be taken seriously. Also it does not cancel out the pain that these poor people go through due to their assigned caste. My friend recommended me one great Indian movie. It is called Swades. Just watch it. Quite entertaining, but it does portray how people of lower caste are not allowed to take part in anything and this includes going to school with kids of higher caste. Their cooked food is seen as unholy. Their entire lives seem to be of great misery.

you are right friend but as you know that, every muslim can enter Mosque, every Christian can enter Church, but the point is NOT Every Hindu can enter Temple, just because he/she is born in lower cast.....

thank's friend for understanding my point of view...and yah swadesh is very nice movie....if you post this as comment below then i am gonna mark that as best responce..

As a religion we should respect them, Bcoz in islam we have to give respect to every religion, But in logic its the creation of the religion, when a King Prounounce himself a god, just like the egypts pheros, Just check out Hindus gods, They all are connected with RAM, So i guess ram will b thier king, and the other were be his relatives & staff.now the cast which could only b Priests i.e Brahm, They must be the King Cast, And the people who were not allowed will b thier slaves or his nation common people..Which were be not allowed to Rams Castle..And so through tmie it change in to Religion... If we Just revise the recent history when Muslims conquer the India, In the time of Governing thier was a king named "Jalal ud-Din Muhammad Akbar" This akbar was given to him by his inlaws Tribe, which were Hindus, and After That the Akbar Start His Religion, Which was Called "Diney Ilahi" but he did not succed in his Plans, Well if he could then Thier will b another religion just like, Hinduism

Another offspring of false religions that springs from Babylon, the centre of false religion initiated by Nimrod an opposer of God almighty Hinduism with its over 300million gods what do you expect? I am not against individuals who are devotees of Hinduism but the system that enslaves them. Read the bible and get to know the only true God.John 17vs3

I cannot condone the separation of the people. And actually, many religions hold males higher than females, so I am not sure that I would say that most religions teach that every human is equal. Another similar thing going on in the world of religion is that only certain members can enter the Mormon church. This is how a lot of religions are. Only those belonging to certain groups are allowed in "sacred" places.

You ask "what you guy's think about Hinduism???" My answer is - inspite of all the drawbacks, it is the best way to realise god. so it is the best religion. its true that in certain area, mostly in rural India where there is a problem that exists even today that many lower castes not being allowed into places of worship. In majority of the areas, that has changed. Most temples in two southern states have non-brahmin priests which neither you are aware of nor the media highlights. the prevention of the so called lower castes from entering temple is mostly in the norther states. many social reformers have come and taught people about the evils of such practices and in most places it is not practiced today. you say "every religion taught us that every human is equal". I will say with confidence it is Hinduism that taught that all human beings are to be treated equally in the first place. you are simply assuming that Hinduism does not do so, because in islam it is not so. the reason is that you do not want to accept that because you know in your own faith's (islam) scripture (quran) it is very clearly mentioned about the how your god (allah) divided humanity into two camps and how the one who is not following islam is not equal to the one following islam. now what do you say about it. quran even exhorts muslims to kill the non-musilms and ask them not to show any mercy. parwaizkhan, is that not unequal treatment of humans by allah? whatever quran teaches muslims simply follow it, and today we see it in the form of islamic terrorism. isn't islam dangerous to mankind while you accuse others of what they do not even practice widely. Hindus have corrected most of it and correcting the rest social evils and not following it in most parts of the country. showcasing something of the past with evil intentions while covering up the present reality is what you are doing. parwaizkhan, you have started this discussion just to make fun of Hindus by selectively picking holes. such holes exist in every religion. with Hinduism such things happened when there was a societal deccay started and priestly class started to misinterpret scriptures for their own vested interest. the history of it is not very old, but vested interests always try to make it look otherwise.

Every human beings are equal.. They should have allowed to visit; But if they don't allow you to go, we can't do anything.., Imagine there could be a house; and they don't allow you to visit their home, can you go..? thats why don't think much about it; if they don't allow we should not.

Hinduism is an ancient religion in India. I think they have several Gods. In this religion a priest can be compensated with gifts - for his service. They celebrate marriages. The believers are cremated when they die. Hinduism doesn't accept conversions. In India exists a caste system. To a lower caste belonging person can't marriage a higher belonging one.

in Hinduism, there are 33,00,00,000 God's......and they Can't tell you even 33...LOL...but the thing is...anyone can be priest in any religion...but in Hinduism you have to "BORN" in a special "Caste" called "Brahman"....and if you are Not "Brahman" you can't be priest...and hindu's think's that feeding them is better than feedin "poor" people...

In Guyana we have lots of Hindus and this whole cast system doesn't apply. One of the greatest things about Guyana we are totally open minded religiously. Most people come from families where both mother and father are of different religions and they take a third.
