Life has become so hectic that we are loosing the real charm of the Sunday which coolly arrives with all the relaxation once a week.
In our area every Sunday many shopping outlets re opened and many of them spend their time at these places for their shopping....
Do you have such our-lets on Sundays at your place and do you spend time going around or how is your time spent...??

Very well put. Sunday in many ways is a funday. With my full-time job keeping me so busy and exhausting throughout the week, I always look forward to the weekend. Saturday is a sleeping day. Sunday is the day to enjoy, playing games, going out to favorite places, and so on.

Good thoughts - I just like them.
I appreciate and came to know a new thing as "Saturday is a sleeping day"....for us we have a six day week and have only off on Sunday - hence will spend that day with special food and entertainment.

Hello Busybee,
It happens SUNDAY is loosing its charm as when i was unmarried i had no responsibilities as i used to sleep whole day or used to go to meet friends but now when i am married and have kids i don't sleep on SUNDAY except night and have lot of household work to do,shopping so most of the time of mine is spent on the shopping outlets as my wife only waits for SUNDAYs for shopping. Now a days i have observed that my SUNDAYs are more busier than other days and i feel more tired on SUNDAYs than other days.

I do understand that sjvg, because every one is leading a hectic life which is totally unorganized.
Once you frame your time and follow - I am sure there will be see lot of improvement in your tiredness on Sundays. This is for sure
From the long 24 hours of a day I totally dedicate ONE long hour exclusively form me and over that is my time.Any emergency also is over looked provided it is of utmost necessary..
Just plan and see the developments...

hi busybee10 yes things are so different now. when I was much
younger we always went to church on Sunday morning had a wonderful dinner midday as I lived in South Dakota then but it was a relaxing day.as farm people we always visited with our town friends after church too and sometimes we stayed for a church get together dinner our midday meal. We seldom went shopping as store did not stay open on Sunday except for grocery stores then. what a different time than now in 2011 this was back in 1930's then. life was calmer more peaceful too and a bit happier perhaps.but at 84 I am enjoying this era of time too and a lot of things do make me happy like the Mozart music I am listening to right now.so here now our malls are all open on Sundays busy as your busy bee. love you avatar. hugs from hatley.

Here in the USA, the restaurants are usually closed, and other things close early (not major grocers or big department stores though). Usually Sunday is a day of rest, not like it used to be years and years ago with things being open now. Some people don't believe in shopping on Sundays.

OK - so in the USA it is difficult for people to even shop fine...that is the reason why many go for an outing I feel.....
Any how since it is a rest day - I am happy because the week is spent in hard work and proportionately this poor body needs some rest..isn't it..??

Yes, what is life after all, and for what are we working hard..it is to live happily only.
We have just one life and let us enjoy it with less desires.Because of multiple and added desires we shall not really enjoy life at all.
And,to enjoy life also needs ones focus on thoughts. Diversified thoughts makes you land into problems where happiness cannot be seen...isn't it..???

Hi busybee10, I love Sunday as my husband and I could enjoy the brisk walk in the morning at the nearby public garden. My husband couldn't accompany me to do this lovely outdoor activities before as he had to take care of his painting tuition classes. Nowadays art classes are available on the whole day of Saturday only The air in the park where there are lots of big trees growing vigorously here and there make the environment so comfortable with cold and fresh air. On the way along the paths chirping birds are seen singing happily on the branches as well as moving on the green lawn.
I never like to visit shopping mall on Sundays as it's too crowded with people who make panic purchase for the sake of the special offer stuffs. It's a great waste of my valuable time to do such rushing to purchase buying as well as it's worse still to do payment to line up in the long queue
Happy posting and have a nice day!

The times have definitely changed. It is now the era of shopping malls and cafes. Sunday, aside from being worship day, had also become family day. It is good though when the whole family is out in the mall together, mom on the grocery, children doing homework at a wi-fi equipped resto, dad checking the house necessities...

Yes Sunday is really a fun day. Because we get only a day in a week for enjoyment and also we can doing our pending work on that day. But mostly peoples prefer to enjoy that day. And this is right because whole week we worked for a long time and when we get this day of enjoyment so why we not make this day fully enjoyment.

Sunday is our rest day. It's a day to relax and have fun with family. We make it a point to hear mass on a Sunday. We seldom go around now a days. We just cook a sumptuous lunch and eat together at home and then will watch movie on dvd and sleep in the afternoon. That's how simple we spend our Sunday now a days.
