When a person is a teenager or in their twenties he or she might not have much money for traveling. Therefore he or she will go to nearby countries. It is possible to stay in backpacker hostels and youth hostels which have dorms. By age 30 years old he or she might be able to visit further away countries. Many people wish to travel around the world. The best age to go are in late teens, early twenties or in retirement. I had my favorite trip when I was 34 years old and I traveled to Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. I climbed up Mayan ruins, went on an exciting cave adventure and stayed in a thatched tree house. It was a great adventure. Later that year I got pregnant with my disabled son and he was born the following year. Two years ago my daughter was born. We still go traveling. It was Portugal in 2007, the Baltic Countries in 2008, South Africa in 2009, Canada in 2010 and Colombia in 2011.
Did you travel when you were a child?

I already have kids and I think the best time to travel with the whole family is when the children are able to remember places and events. Although traveling with kids below 24 months is lighter on the budget since more often than not, young kids travel free, taking care of infants while traveling can be draining and they're too young to remember anyway... Travel became fruitful and memorable when my kids turned 3 and 5. In coming home, they would help me in making scrapbooks of our trips abroad. We haven't traveled as far as the other side of the world, only to countries in the southeast Asian region.
I plan to travel to Europe when my kids are in their teens but I fear they would be too busy with their own preoccupations then. I still wish we could travel together.

I think the age depends on what the person is like. I tarvelled mainly to europe as a child with my parents but, I started going further once I left home as then I used my own money. I love city breaks in europe though and I think the place more depends on if you have the moeny to do it.

Hi maxi,
when one have sufficient money he or she can travel near and far. When one have lots of money he or she can travel round the world. For traveling age is little factor. But money is the main factor. However thank you for your tips.

Many of us love traveling, age do not matters much; if you enjoy traveling, you have enough funds, and you are physically fit enough for a particular travel destination.
For me the best trip to other side of world was a trip on Canada in winter.

I travel locally as a child. I think the right age for adventure travelling would be 20-30 year old bracket. Travel exposes you to new things and you gain the opportunity to learn from the experience. Enjoy your future travels maxi.

Of course i will love to travel to diffrent countries as young as i possibly can, it is pretty much a wishful thinking on my part. But travelling to various location and countries require quite a lot of $$ in order to do so if you want to travel with comfy in mind. Going to country with just a backpack and stay in cheap motel is not a thing for me, i just can't stand to travel in this way. My travel plan is usually decide by the amount of dough i had in my deep pocket instead of by my age. Nowaday travel abroad is quite costly in my personal opinion.

Your children are really lucky. I live in New York and I have a friend who has never even been to some boroughs in New York. I really wish I could have gotten the chance to see different countries at a young age.
I think it's nice to be exposed to different cultures and people. I can't say if there is an ideal age to travel. I think kids need stability. If it is trips in the summertime or on vacation time then I think it's fine. Moving to different countries constantly could be a bit difficult to children however since it makes it hard for them to make and keep friends.
So far I've only traveled to Guyana (South America). I would like to travel to many many other countries if I had the chance. It's scary traveling to different places though because some places are dangerous. I would need to do a lot of research before I decide to go somewhere.

When I was a child my parents, my brother and I often visited France. Today I love sightseeing, but at that time my brother and were only interested in the playgrounds and the toy shops When I was in my twenties I worked and travelled in Estonia, Poland, Italy and Scotland. I was single and independent at that time and I was able to travel for months if I wanted to.
Today I am married and my way of travelling has changed. My husband and I travel together, but we can't travel for months because of our jobs and our many pets. I don't miss the freedem that I had when I was young, I loved visiting many different places when I was in my twenties, but I also love the life that I have today.

I can not give you a specific age for travelling but it is ideal that the person should be an adult. But I think also that the person should be a rich person it is they only who have all the money for an international flight. Travelling is a big person that requires a lot ofy money to pay for the trip. The travellers should have a lot of money to pay for his food, drinks and also other immigration charges.
