I can't believe how many shows have been cancelled and yet they keep the same garbage on for years. They have cancelled my all time favorite Brothers and Sisters. Yet they keep garbage like "The American Dad", The Simpsons, The Bachelor and Bachelorette, America's Top Model, and the ever stupid Jerseyshore etc....! They also canceled "Chase" which was a well written show and they never gave it a chance. I'm so sick of TV that I'm seriously thinking of cancelling cable and just watching the few shows that I will watch on my PC. What about you have they cancelled your favorite show for the FALL??

Shows are meant to appeal to the lowest common denominator. You can tell the health of a country by the shows that are popular. We are a nation of complacent idiots that are eager for stupidity on our television screens, the population longs to see humiliation, deception, misery and outrageous behavior.
Enjoy some good shows while you can, they'll all be gone soon until the nation raises its collective quality of character. Don't hold your breath.

OMG you are so right on all counts. When the nation is obessed with Jerseyshore there is a big problem to me. Not to mention all of thoses Housewifes of where ever. You are 100% on target and because of that you are getting the best response nod from me.

Hi Lelin. Yep they have canceled the good shows and keep this garabage on TV. I don't watch much TV because of that. I just plain can't get into the stupid shows. I don't have cable or dish or direct I keep just the plain channels can at least get some good shows on it. Watch more TV on our pc then on TV.

I believe that is the direction I'm going to. The PC I can find a show when I want to and not have to pay a cable bill.

I wish I could find something good to watch. Seems like they have take all the good stuff off the local TV stations too. But what I have seen of Tru blood it seems like a good show. Been trying to find a show online called the curious case of Benjamin Button but haven't been able to find one single link.

Wow so Simpsons is still on? I assumed that they were all just repeats by now. I dont have cable so I do not watch tv at all but years back I used to watch the soap opera "passions". I loved it and was really sad when it went off the air. I saw that my favorite character on the show is now on another soap opera.

Yes I came across a list of 92 shows that were either being cancelled or will be returning. Simpsons is returning, why??? I just don't understand what the industry is thinking anymore. They definitely have me on the brink of not watching TV anymore.

I hated when they cancelled The Ghost Whisperer. I thought that show was awesome, it was like watching a scary movie every week. I agree. These networks aren't thinking right. I'm not a big fan of any of those reality TV stuff. These are shows with good plots! Although there are good shows like Criminal Minds, CSI, Hell Cats, House, and Glee. Awfully Brilliant shows, they are.

The Ghost Whisperer was a great show that I loved too. Well sorry to say but Hellcats has also been cancelled. Criminal Minds, CSI, House and Glee are well written great shows and thankfully we still have them but for how much longer?

WHAT??? That blows! And after the first season? Why don't they just do away with the reality TV shows? Why get only entertained when you can get entertained AND gain knowledge.

there's only one show that I ever ever really liked that has been cancelled and that's 10 Things I Hate About You which is a good ten series from ABC channel. I was so frustrated when they cancel that and yet they keep other not so good TV shows. I hate Jersey Shore too! I hate that show so much.

I have never given the jerseyshore a minute of my time. I wouldn't dare. In fact when they are on a talkshow I turn it off. I can't be bothered with stupidity. I also can't believe that the people behind the scene really think this is entertainment for a normal family. I feel like stupidity has taken over the industry with not a bit of class or thought for the intelligent people that are still on this earth.

When I read the title of this, I immediately thought of Invader Zim. I think it's been over 10 years since the show has been cancelled but I still miss it. It's a dark comedy kids show that came on Nick. I suspect that if it had aired on Cartoon Network, it would have lasted longer.
Arrested Development was another favorite of mine. Great, smart humor and the lack of a laugh track just made it possible for there to be hidden jokes.
There are a number of other cancelled shows that I miss, although not exactly favorites. Running Wilde, Important Things with Demetri Martin, Stella, Michael and Michael Have Issues, and a few others I can't remember right now. (I mostly watch comedy shows.)
P.S. I love The Simpsons. I'm pleasantly surprised that it's been airing for over 20 years :D

See twenty years of Simpsons is crazy to me. I don't understand why. Arrested Development was a very funny entertaining show but they don't seem to care about what people like.

I am still upset when they cancelled :"Prey" back in 1998 after just one season. on ABC. Left it hanging and now because it was just one season cannot get it on DVD. I have it recorded on VHS but that is not the same. There are other shows but that was a really good

Exactly, thats what it has become stupid entertainment for stupid people, I guess. I think people who are of intelligence don't seem to count in the entertainment industry. Look at how long they have had the Jerry Springer show on. That tells you how bad it is. Shame on them!

I'm sure one of your shows will be gone because like me I'm sure you watch intelligent shows. The good shows are leaving one by one. They are being replaced with people fighting and throwing food, cursing and drinking, who is sleeping with who's husband, who is having plastic surgery etc..... With none of them having a bit of talent, but being paid good money. This is what it has all become and its really sickening.

I really really liked Veronica Mars and was upset that that was cancelled right before the 4th season. I saw the season's trailer though, and it looked really good! Ahh well. Apparently ratings were not all that great. I hate when that happens.

One of my favorite show is Legend of the Seeker. It was aired up to the second series. However the show was cancelled and they are not planning to make a third series. The story is really incomplete since it was based from a book.

I never heard of that show but I bet you felt like you wasted your time watching it. You didn't get to see the complete series. The bottom line is they don't really care about the audience watching the show they only care about the bucks they are making or not making.

I'm not to picky when it comes to TV. I like pawn stars and auction hunters. My favorite show was smallville, but it had a long run so I'm glad it's done.

There was a show in the 90s called That's Life. I don't remember the lead actors' name but Paul Sorvino and Debi Mazar were in it. It was about an Italian family from Jersey who had their hopes set on their daughter getting married to a local mechanic dude. She calls it off because she wants a life on her own terms. And we see her return to college and stand up to her family (no mooning or that other stuff they do on Jersey Shore). Something that most women, regardless of color or race, can relate to.
Then it got pulled and when the show(which was re-named, btw) came back, they made her a little on the dingy side.
I know it's been nearly 15 yrs but I'm still mad about that. The others you named, I can relate to though I used to watch Top Model. After the first 3 seasons, they jumped the shark. I still watch the Simpsons but it's really running out of steam. I think that contract goes to 2018 and I hope they don't renew.
