Inception

Has anyone seen this amazing movie?! Do you ever think this could be a reality? That humanity can influence people's dreams, place ideas into another person's mind, and make them wake up with that idea locked in their subconsious? I thought about this a good bit the other day after watching it, and it started to actually scare me a little. What if our government is doing this right now and nobody knows about it? What if what i am thinking right now has been locked in my mind for years without me ever knowing about it? This movie opened my eyes to so many creepy possibilities...

As far as “Inception” goes and the idea of people being able to purposefully inhabit our dreams, well that’s just imaginative fiction. But think about what dreams are, they come from are subconscious and are built up of what we have experienced. The manifestation of a dream may seem unique and original but split into parts they all come from experience, what we see, hear, fear and so on. And as such it should theoretically possible for someone to influence your dreams and make you think something via some form of subliminal influence.

Yes i agree that there is alot more to understanding dreams than people choose to accept. I love the dream world the different scenarios that you encounter i think there is messages in every dream, the way they make us think... show us snippets of the future. Very interesting.

For some reason when I replied to this I was convinced it was you who started it, hence my response in box number 4 lol. Have a look at box 6 too did you read what Connery said ?

Yes Sean Connery the actor. I read an interview about him talking about Inception, I can't remember if it was online or in a magazine but he let the cat out of the bag. I will try find it and give a link if I can but only in PM as it is a major spoiler and I mean MAJOR! So PM me if you really want to know. I don't want to spoil the discussion for those who do not know about it. You have this on Blu Ray right ? If Connery is on the commentary track then he might mention it, let me know.

Hi Chicky, yup, i have watch this movie.. I think it's great! The effects is wonderful! It is so real! And I think it might just be possible. Like how hypothesizing actually works on certain people, i believe, this concept could actually be tested already someway, somehow. We just don't know if it really works yet, furthermore if it really works, i am sure it will be classified information that is not available in public. If our government is really doing it, i think it would be something similar with the matrix movie. You won't know till you have been awaken!

You said it ,Chicky. I have watched the movie for 3 times at least . But i can't fiure out the ending yet . According to Cobb's logic ,when one lives in a world where a top spins permenantly ,he actually lives in dream . I don't know whether Cobb is in reality or in dream in the end .Does he reunite with his kids ? or is he in dream? Whose dream he is in ? I have to admit that i just jumped on the bandwagon . After hearing about all the compliments and praise ,i decided to watch it . Even though i have searched on internet for some details about the film ,i am still confused by some plots . hey, Maybe you could explain them to me .What do you say ?

Well, I am as lost as anyone esle when I watch it, but from my perspective he is still locked inside a dream. But whos dream, im not so sure. My best guess is that he is trapped in his own sunconsious mind, living out his life the way he wanted to, but like i said, at this point your guess is as good as mine. Great Movie though.

It's just a fiction, and I don't believe there is a person who can do that. Unless if you are Professor Charles Xavier of the x-men, then you can alter people's minds. I like the movie too, but I still don't get the ending of the movie. Was Leonardo Di Caprio locked in his dreams?

Hi chicky! I've seen that movie a long time ago. It was indeed fascinating! And yeah, a little scary, too. You'll never know when someone is already invading your dreams. You'll just probably thought that everything is a dream. I don't think it can happen in real life though. I mean, it's too complicated and too dangerous don't you think? This would be dangerous even for spies. I think it only happens in the movies. I wouldn't want someone to invade my dreams! Well, there's nothing really important data in my dreams but! My private thoughts and subconscious are mine alone!^^

I had a discussion going on this, but while the fx and the messing with your mind (as well as that of those involved!) was good, one thing pulled me right out of the moment, and that was the song they'd used for that "Kick" element in the Movie.. I'd been plagued by one Edith Piaf CD on the PA at work, with the same few tracks repeating endlessly, day in,day out for weeks, before the Movie came out....Going in on a night off to See "Inception" and discovering the Actress who'd starred as Edith Piaf in a Biopic not that long ago was here playing DiCaprio's Wife, and then finding they've used Piaf's "Je ne Regrette Rien" as the kick theme was enough for Me..There was enough going on that a second viewing might have been advisable, but i wasn't going to go back to hear that tune again..

Lucid dreams are possible. Sharing dreams...not possible in the present, but maybe it IS being used by the military as mentioned in the movie.

Well that would be very bad with all the crap the government is doing we would probably all end up buying some foreign stock and end up owing millions to the government. I think that humanity can definitely influence a person's dream and subconcious but nothing to the extent of what they did in inception. I think if and when a program similar to that is invented that the country who created it will dominate or the world will basically fall apart. Wrap your head around that.

i like this movie but i doubt it could be reality. I do believe that we can go to alternate universes in our dreams though. I had such a complex dream once that when i woke up i couldnt remember my name, where i was, who my parents were for maybe half an hour to an hour and then all the information came back in a rush. I was so freaked out.

Yes i have and i think it's a great watch surely worth recommending! I love the concept and how it is so original and sparked so much interest in your thinking. I do believe that dreams are our opportunity to tap into another world, but i don't think that inception is something that you will ever have to worry about happening in your own life unless you are a very important person to your country or your incredibly rich! Either way, No I don't believe it is going on in real life... It is just a movie concept and a great one! I think this is my favourite Leonardo Dicaprio movie yet! I would rate it 4/5 stars and I have told a few people about it since i seen it and they all love it too.

I loved this movie as my husband did too. We were just mesmorised by the whole thing from beggining to end and end to beggeining. We loved it! It was so complicated and in depth that you could not leave to get a soda or anything. We are going to watch again and again till we are tired of it.
