Hi. I only stay up late at night when I'm watching a favorite show or when I'm playing with my pet who's only awake at night, lol. His a Noctural. But as much as possible I try to sleep in normal hours so I won't feel sleepy the following day.

I like to go to bed early so that I could get up early and get to work on time. But, some days, I get back home from my work fairly late. So, by the time I get into bed, it is past midnight. Those nights I get up late again, and get back to sleep pretty late. Becomes a bit disorderly for me.

When I don't work I always stay waked up late. I usually stay in front of the computer or talking with roomates. Sometimes I go out and I came back later. The problem is that to wake up the next day is very hard!

I have to be honest but I stay up to 11 in the evening at the latest. It depends on what time hubby will want to sleep. Because I cant sleep when I want, it has to be both of us before I go to sleep. We also sleep later than that sometimes when we have a good movie to watch or maybe we got caught up on something to talk about.

Due to my work hours I have no choice but to stay up late. I don't usually finish work until after 3 a.m. and have been working these hours for almost 10 years now. I think my body clock has adjusted the best that is possible, although I do worry at times about the long term health effects might be. It seems when working these hours there is never enough time for "quality" sleep and this results in feeling run down at times.

I'm required to stay up at night because that's my work schedule mostly. It changes every month but mostly get the night shift. I really don't mind because I used to stay up late at night anyway.

No not really, I am on a very strict schedule, therefore I need to really get to bed early. I think that my body has also been trained for a certain time of sleep more often than not. There are a lot of times where I have gotten into the habit of getting to sleep by about ten and then getting up at about six in the morning. That seems to be when I function the best.
There are only a handful of times in recent memory where I have stayed up rather later than usual and it did throw everything out of play. Of course, those were emergencies why I was up so, so that's really not much I can do about that. Still there are a number of times where I really feel as if it is just a waste of time to stay up any more than I need to, unless like its like I say an emergency. That is just all I have to say about that situation.

Hi iamsummer!
I know that we shouldn't be staying late most of the time as it will have effect on our health, but my problem is that I'm already used to sleeping late. Maybe my body clock has been adjusted to sleep because it's my type of work before. Now I find it difficult to sleep early. I'm not insomniac but I find it easier to sleep when I'm almost worn out.

It is really a bad habit. I sleep and wake up same as your sked. It make my body sedentary. Just like having a sedentary lifestyle. It is too hard to adjust when you got a new shift. You're body clock mess up and it is hard to sleep. I used to have a schedule to take a sleep so that my body will not over stress itself.

Yes its a bad habit to sleep late and wakeup late, but I don't have any option as I work in shift, which changes every week and my sleeping time too changes with it.
When I was student I always followed the good sleeping habits, but now its just not possible.

i usually stay up late, i want to sleep early but its hard because im used to sleep late it night. if i want to sleep early, i usually drink warm milk and listen to slow music because it helps promote sleep. i avoid nap times during the day and eating heavy meals before retiring, drinking chocolate beverages or coffee (it contains caffeine)

It's bad for health to stay up late at night. I will decrease resistance to sickness and may result to general weakness. My work requires me to stay up all night. My rest days are also affected instead of sleeping during night time, my body forced me to wake up due to body clock or routine. I will quit my job soon so I can have a normal life.

Hey i am completely with you i know it is a bad habit but i can`t help it i sleep at like 2 or 3 in the night and wake up at noon but in night i am very efficient more than i have ever been plus i tried to wake up early but it was so hard i wall sleepy all day long and could n`t work so honestly its just that if u have developed it as a habit it won`t hurt. i mean people do have a night job and they don`t sleep all night but it dosen`t hurt them at all.

Hi! I sleep late most of the time because I am insomiac. That is why it works on my advantage because aside from my daytime job, I also have several online money making ventures to accomplish and I do all these at night. Instead of watching TV, or simply surfing the net, I joined several sites that allow me to earn also.
Weird also because whenever I feel like sleeping early (which by the way seldom or rarely happens), thus letting me have 8 to 10 hours of sleep, I get a migraine!! Funny, right? And when I sleep like 3am and get up at 7am, I feel like I have fully rested and have energized to the maximum. This is not a good practice, however, this is what works for me.
