I am fascinated at how, some people could like some activities which I can categorize as risky. Examples of these are Storm Surfing , Bungee Jumping , Zipline and Roller Coaster Rides.
In my entire years of being alive, the riskiest that I have undertaken was , ride the ferris wheel. But every time the ferris wheel stops at the highest , I feel as if my stomach is in my throat!
At the 2nd round, as the wheel descended, I shouted that I would go already .

I love taking risks that i can handle. I try to assess first if i can handle things. I love challenges but i put i have limitations as well.
I don't know why but ever since i could remember, i am the type of person who likes proving people that i can do it.

D believe me, facials are more painful than tattoo. As long as you know which part of your body you will feel less or almost no pain at all, tattoo would just be a walk in the park for women. Especially those who have given birth already. Labor pain is way much more painful!

Oh, even then , i wouldn't dare have it.
I guess, i am a nervous girl, since birth. I am afraid of physical pains. But wonders of wonders, i didn't have much labor pains when i gave birth to our only child. I had a normal delivery.
I salute you for being courageous, Toni!

Oh Toni. You are one risk taker! Imagine going through the real tattoo session, with a needle? I can never have done that to myself. I don't want any physical pain.
Go girl, as long as you don't injure yourself, go for it, while you are still young.

Oh surekha. You misunderstood me again. I only did the ferris wheel, which proved to be a scary experience for me. It wasn't repeated ever.
But as to my profile picture, i decided to be a little mysterious again.

My friend, i do understand what you are saying, even if you don't speak so much good English. What is important is you are able to express yourself.

Different people have different levels and perceptions of risk. The things that you mention are mostly "controlled" risks; for example, roller coaster rides tend to be safe. It's just that some of us don't like heights, being flipped upside down, etc.
The really risky stuff often are things that people don't really think about. For instance, driving is an extremely risky activity (far more dangerous than roller coaster rides, zipline, skydiving, etc.), but most of us don't think too much about that as we hop into the car and zip over to a neighboring city.
Of course, I still won't be first in line for the roller coaster...

I think you are one person who is afraid of taking risky activities too. But if you are still young, why not try one.
When i was younger , I tried riding the ferris wheel and discovered i am really afraid of heights and other risky activities.
So far, what's the riskiest activity that you have done, if i may ask?

lol. same here. For me the riskiest so far that I have tried was the Viking. It was not as though you would be thrown away but I felt so dizzy and thought I might fall every time it went up and down. I have tried a zipline but never would I do the bungee jumping and ride in a roller coaster. Oh my! Why would I try if it would only make me tremble and faint.lol. Anyway, but it's really exciting and fun to some. So good for them.lol

At least, you get to ride the Viking,. Just seeing it swing so high to and fro scares the hell out of me. And you have done the zipline and roller coaster. You are still courageous my friend , compared to me .
In our last outing there was a slide in the swimming pool. I went to the top of the slide to try, but when i was there and saw how high it is, i chickened out.
I just contented myself swimming .

Hi simplyd! Thanks for the BR! No, I haven't tried the roller coaster and I don't have the courage to try it if given the chance. I had been in your shoes before when I tried sliding in a swimming pool. I was about to backed out when I reached the top but my children told me to try. Oh my God as if my spirit was flying ahead of me.haha. But it was worth a try but it was my first and last. I am proud I did it to think I've got this fear of heights.

WElcome my friend.
Wow, at least you have tried once and for all! I congratulate you for your courage. I must say, you are more courageous than me.

The riskiest I've ever done is ziplining at Bukidnon. And after that, I asked my self why I've been chickening all these years! I was a bunch of nerves at first but, in the end, I was all smiles. I would be trying other stuff sometime in my future. At Enchanted Kingdom, the "risky" rides I did were Anchors Away and Log Jam. I was too scared of the other rides. Chicken me.

Ooh, and I don't know if this is "risky", but when we had parasailing at Boracay, I was really, really scared at first! It was okay at the top, the feeling is wonderful. But, when we went back down to the boat, I threw up!!! I literally emptied my stomach out at the sea.

Oh, i envy you glorycam, for being able to courageously do those risky activities. You are a courageous woman, unlike me, a nervous one.
How i wish i am courageous too.

I love roller coasters and had arranged to go sky diving (didn't actually go due to finding out I was pregnant). I rock climb and go rappelling back down. I love the stomach dropping sensation. I am not as much of a risk taker any more. I do have a child that i do not want to leave motherless. I keep my rock climbing to indoor courses and have not rescheduled the sky diving.

Wow, i admire you for being so courageous in taking those risky activities. At least you get to experience them before you became pregnant.
But you can still engage in them, once you have given birth and rested.

Well, I really have fear of heights. I can't even stand on a chair before... I think the riskiest (though not really risky I must say) that I have done is... uhm.. Stand in a water dam (angat dam)? Where there was like a big slide where the water was released. It was soooo high but the place is so beautiful. Just imagine that getting broken.... Also we went 8 levels deep the ground when we went in this dam for a contest. The floor to the ground level was the 9th floor already! We went to the 1st floor which is down the earth and it was so scary thinking what if we got stocked.
Also, I rode viking and after that I was soooo head-achy and nauseous. Also rode roller coaster. But all happened because I was forced to.

Oh, i can do that also , the Angat Dam experience, if given the chance. But Viking, oh no, no one can force me to do it ever.
But i remembered , when we went to Tagaytay Highlands, we rode the fonicular train from up the highlands going to the lowlands. I guess, the descent was gradual and the scene breathtaking that i didn't feel nervous at all.
