The download music from Internet file sharing is illegal and violates copyright?
Why then are so many music videos on Youtube and co.?
Which should be there but not set, because the music videos no longer sell.
Youtube also hurt the sales of the music industry?

I think Youtube harms the music industry and not some part. No matter what songs is purely one in Youtube. They never sound as nervous on illegals Cd. But because the expensive is it to be content with the not so good. And not just buy the expensive! I also invite himself on Youtube. I like it but i do not care for the music industry. Otherwise I get so differently.

Actually, the download is not illegal, but providing for download already!
And I do not think the YT harms the music industry. Usually there are only small movies, who wants to take the trouble to cut it up, burn, etc.
I think if someone is a fan group or singer, who then retrieves the video!
By the way, then all the music channels would also hurt the industry, you could record it and yes that would be less complicated, because some concert will be shown completely!

The music videos that are on YouTube are mostly uploaded by YouTube users not YouTube itself. YouTube is only providing the platform for people to share their videos worldwide. So the ones that are responsible for violating the copyright laws are the ones who are uploading them, not YouTube.
YouTube probably has some indemnity clause in their terms of use which protects them from lawsuits. I haven't really read the terms myself because it's too long and boring. It's the job of lawyers to do that.
