I have a small amount of free time on my hands. In this free time I work on my blogs, and do online research, and sometiimes I even use the internet to make a little extra cash.
In the past few weeks a friend of mine has been being very kind and helpful to me.
Some of you know that I was recently burned.
So this weekend in my free time I designed a blog for her to use and write down her thoughts and whatever she wants to use it for. It's hers. I just put a couple of little ads in it.
I don't know how she'll accept this gift. I think she will think that I worked too hard on it, or she will come up with some silly reason not to use this blog.
I don't even know if I should tell her I made it and just forget about it. I could probably use it for something else,i guess. I already have 3 blogs in the works and 2 websites. what would I do with another.
Do you think I'm over analyzing the situation?
Thank you for your advice,
Flash

It would be good not to over analyze the situation, just give her the gift without expecting anything or just be ready on whatever reaction she will have. Be positive, everyone of us would appreciate anything that is given to us. Its the thought that counts very much.

I think it depends on why you are giving the blog to her. Is it really for her thoughts? Did you customize the blog to her likes? I think I would've spoke with her first to see what kind of blog she would like. Best Wishes!

wow, a very thoughtful friend indeed. I hope you would also make one for me. Lol. Just joking. Well, whatever effort you made, surely she'll appreciate it. You are such a good friend to give something in return. I hope your friendship will last forever.

You're not over analyzing my friend. You're just being sweet and thoughtful and I'm sure whoever she is, will be thrilled of your gift!

That's a very sweet thought! I know that blogging isn't for everyone as someone else has previously stated but i think she would really appreciate the hard work and time spent on this gift for her. If she is shy help her by giving her ideas of things she could blog about and what works the best for making money and getting hits! I think it's great that you have done something from the heart and it would be alot of wasted thought and effort if you didn't share it with her now.
I would be grateful if my partner did something like that for me.. hehe but he wouldn't know how! Just something that thoughtful i mean, and just for me! I think it's great!

You are so kind to think about your friend and do such thing as a gift.
I am sure she will be delighted to know your effort.
Don't worry too much,if she really is a friend, she will accept it and will never think anything but thankful for the effort done.
have a good day

are you overanalysing?
i'm not sure. only you know your friend.
not everyone likes blogging, she may be shy, and not want to do it. but then with a bit of encouragement she might.
but presents are always nice to receive, because it tells us that the person giving them has thought of us.
i would take the risk, and not be too disappointed if she doesn't want to try blogging as that could be for any number of reasons, not because she doesn't appreciate the gift.
