Yes, there are two series of 'The Hobbit' movies coming up next year. Even if I don't read the book but I love to watch the movie and can't wait to see the epics!! The Lord of the Ring is much better than other magic movies available .(^^)

'The Hobbit' (due to be released next year) is the next epic in the series. In time, it actually precedes the events in the 'Lord of the Rings'. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0903624/ There has also been talk of making a film based on the 'Silmarillion' and other of Tolkein's works.
