What is extra money?

Extra money may mean differently to each of us. For some, extra money is something which they saved. For some, it is the money they get from other sources. While for others, it is simply the money which they do not need to spend as of the money.

Extra money is just something for a rainy day fund, or money to stash away for an emergency. You always want to have extra money simply because you never know when you might lose your job or get into a car accident. Spending everything you make isn't a good idea unless you are forced to spend everything you make on the essentials such as food and shelter.

I consider extra money to be any money earned above and beyond one's normal salary. So if I make some money here on mylot I consider that extra money because it is not part of our normal salaries. It is money that I can use to do what I wish with, rather than spend it on monthly bills, etc. So extra money is anything above and beyond our salaries.

What extra money should always go because I always unforeseen costs. Today, you buy it tomorrow otherwise. For me it is important to have extra money because I have two children who constantly want something. However, as to win sometimes not enough for us. Have a nice day!
