If he thinks that in order to improve his acting then it would be O.K. But then again it takes a lot of gamble considering that the image he is widely known as a actor in a movie has a lot of audience that are kids. Daniel should think first before doing that step it takes a lot of guts to do that step.

I actually think that one of the reasons that most child actors don't go on to have successful careers as adults is because of the fact that they are so tightly typecasted when they are children. With that said, as far as taking the Harry Potter character into an adult movie, I don't really think that it would work because all of the movies have been based on the books and the series of books have come to an end.

there are a lot of actors who had hard time getting movies after they are typecasted in a single movie. Daniel as Harry ate up all his life as an actor, he became popular already as being harry... but if a director and producer believes that he is a good actor then i guess he can be given a role of an adult or even as a villain. daniel is now on theater performing plays, if he wont have a movie anymore then he branched out to another career but i am sure his fans will miss him specially the ones who can not watch his plays.

It can be difficult to imagine a child actor playing in a more risque movie, but I am sure it will happen at some point. I was reading or watching something one day about actors who are "typecasted" taht is to say people can't seem to see them as anything but what they were a long time ago in their t.v. sitcom or movie careers. let's hope this doesn't happen to harry.

Daniel Radcliffe has already performed the lead in "Eqqus" onstage (which is clearly a young adult/serious role) and is currently starring on Broadway in "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying"--also an adult role. I'm sure it will take awhile for him to get older adult roles in movies, but since he is already acting in adult parts, he should be fine with the transition.
