Are short wedding dresses trashy

You say you want a short one, but he, your future husband, what he have to say about? How he preffer?

the most recent wedding I went to, the bride wore a dress about knee length at the front and ankle length at the back. she looked absolutely beautiful.

i think you can pull it off. i am also your height but when i became a bridesmaid, i was able to pull of a long dress and it was perfect! just know how it can compliment your best assets. usually for short girls like us, we'd be able to look better in empire cut dresses. makes us look taller =) goodluck friend! =)

I don't think the short wedding dresses are tacky. But I think they are not formal enough. Since wedding is quite important for women. So the wedding gowns are usually long and it will make you look elegant and special. Your dresses shall be different than others so that others can tell you are the bride. I love China

I think a short dress only looks tacky if it's super tight too. Since you are short try a length right at your knees or a little below. I am 5'2 and my dress was kneelength. Maybe you could also have a seamstress or someone to take up the dress a little bit if you find one you like that's too long.

I don't like the look of wedding dresses that are above the knee. I wouldn't say they look trashy, but I don't think they look as beautiful, and classy as longer dresses. I am also short and wore a short wedding dress...I would have look terrible in a long one! You have to go with what feels right for you as it's your wedding! My niece just got married in a short dress...it was strapless and beautiful!

Honestly, I don't think that short wedding dresses are trashy or anything like that. I think that there are some short wedding dresses, which are very nice. If you prefer wearing a short one, and you find one that you love and feel good in, then I definitely think that that's what you should go with. Although some long dresses look good on small women. I'm 5"1 and had a long dress with a bit of a train. I received good complements. But at the end of the day you need to choose the dress you love and feel comfortable in.

Hi there, No I don't think short wedding dresses look trashy and or tacky. Really it is what you are comfortable with and happy on your big day. I would say that you try on both styles and see how you like them on you. If you like a short and or longer dress then go simply with what you like. I understand many like to go traditional while some like to really change things up. I am all for what the bride likes as after all it is her big day and she will remember that forever. To be honest..... It doesn't matter

Weeding comes once in our life,it doesn't really matter what they say.As long as you feel comfortable.Just enjoy it and look forward for the coming days of your life with the one you choose to take the sacred vow.
