I eat a good handful of assorted nuts every morning. I do this for health reasons as nuts have great health benefits. Do you eat nuts regularly for health as well, or just occasionally as a snack?

I love hazelnuts and almonds. I eat it with tea and sometimes while watching tv as a snack. But I dont eat it like everyday. Its only when I really crave for something.

That is how I used to be but I was told I had to improve my LDL cholesterol and nuts are good for that, now I eat them everyday and my cholesterol is really good now.

I had read the eating nuts was good for you. I went out and bought a package of almonds. I tried to eat them, but I couldn't do it. I just didn't like them at all! I thought I would. I guess the only nuts I like eating are peanuts and cashews. Those probably aren't the nuts that are considered healthy.

No, I wish that I could. I love nuts. They are one of my favorite snacks, but it is bad for me to eat them because I get kidney stones a lot and nuts aggravate my condition so I can't eat them. It is unfortunate like I said because I love nuts so much, all kinds of them. I still eat them once in a while, but I know when I do it I am putting my health in jeapordy so it takes some of the pleasure out of eating them.

I would have love it if almonds and hazelnuts are affordable in our country. But they are so expensive here in the Philippines so I eat them just occasionally. But I do love nuts and regularly I do eat peanuts for they great tasting too. I also do love Pili nuts. I think nuts are quite addictive!

I wish that I could do this, and I am more than well aware that there are health benefits from eating nuts, however I'm not allowed to eat them because my younger brother is allergic to them. He is so badly allergic that I can't even eat them while I'm out. He still has a reaction when I come home if even just a little bit of the dust from the nut is on my clothing or left around the house. Although they're good for me, I wouldn't want to risk my brother being ill because of them so I therefore won't eat them at all, and haven't done for many years now.

That is good for you. Raw nuts are good fats that helps with metabolic processes. I have to check more if their are nuts that won't worsen my thyroid problem because they say it can. Almonds and cashew nuts are mt favorite. Macademia is the best. It breaks in the mouth as if they are going to melt there. Haha. They are just a little expensive.

I have found recently that I love nuts!! All kinds, different mixes. I started out as a snack and now I have found that the health benefits are much more than I expected. I put nuts in my salads, yogurt or make my own trail mix of sorts with dried fruits, pretzels, seeds and lots of nuts.
