I decided to come back, has anyone else taken a long break before?

I have been on Mylot for a few years now, for around the last year, I have barely been on for different reasons, real life got complicated and hectic...and some subjects and aspects of mylot just made me grow tired of it, I guess I got burnt out on Mylot :p But now I feel like I want to come back and start disccusing things again, especially now that I see some of my favorite mylotters are still active :)...so...has anyone else been in my shoes, where you take a LONG break, but still come back?

I think we have all done that at one point in time. I just started getting active back in Late June I'd say, and now I am active again. I'd taken a long hiatus and am ready to be back here and earning a few extra dollars. I am not sure that you're coming back to a better mylot, I'm trying to figure that one out for myself.

I am not sure yet either if its a better mylot, but I do miss it and I have more time to spare these days...but I think I may just lurk and read on certain topics :p and maybe post if I feel strongly enough, but I am a year older now, so a year wiser and a year stronger, so maybe I can handle some aspects of Mylot better now ...but I am most looking forward to enjoying all the lighthearted topics and have fun responding to those :)

I am a different kind of mylotter then you. Though I've recently acquired work, I still need the money mylot can give me, so while I may read a few without responding, mot of them I'll give my two cents on. Mylot is a great place to relax though, even though from what I've noticed it's changed. A lot of people that used to be here aren't anymore, and I've heard it's because of others bullying around. Not sure who or why, but I'd imagine the politics interest is the culprit, so I'd steer clear of that if I were you!

Yeah, it was politics that made me just get tired of mylot....and now I look on there, and it seems to be taken over by the opposite of a lot of my views. I was raised to always speak up for what you believe in, but I am learning as an adult, especially online activity, its smart to just not say anything. I will read the politics topics, because that is something that I find interesting, but I doubt I will ever respond. I will focus my attention on responding to other interests :)

Hello spicysweetie and a very warm welcome back. Sorry for my delay in welcoming you back as I too was a way for a few weeks and am still skimming through email alerts. When I saw your discussion I do remember you from a while back. I do hope you are enjoying your return back to myLot as the community is still as fun as can be.

I have stopped getting onto mylot for about 2 months due to my exams. However, I came back right after it as I would be having my long summer holiday after that.

I did take long VERY long break. I signed up for MyLot around 2 years ago and I was only active for around a week then I gave up on it. I pretty much just forgot about MyLot that's why I wasn't active, life just got in the way. So after I hadn't been active for 2 years, I forgot my username and password so I had to create a new account -_- . So I made my new account around a week ago and I am going strong and I and gonna try to keep up MyLotting at the pace that I'm going! =)

I just came back, my last activity was December 2006. One thing that triggered me to come back is the consistent emails I still receive summarizing discussions from my interests, as well as the internet access is available! :)

Hello.:-) You are not the only one who has felt burnt out of Mylot. One time or another, there are also some here who feel that way. I, for one, has felt that way. It has nothing to do with Mylot personally but it is about me. Being a mum and so much things in my head that I need to sort plus, too much responsibilities on my hands left me no time to do Mylot. But, just like you, I really want to be as active as I used to be. Though, right now, I haven't posted any discussions yet since my last one here which i think was last month, I'm making time to comment and respond. I love Mylot that it is hard not to think of coming back here. welcome back to you, then, Spicysweetie.;-)

I did. I found mylot when I was I think on my last year of college. Then I left when my load became really difficult for me to handle. Then I got married and left the country... after sometime, I tried to open again if I can go back and realize that mylot grew so much. I decided to go back and stay longer this time. At least nor until I prove myself that I can earn through mylot.
