I think honesty is the best policy

I believe that in life whether it be in a relationship on the job or with your friends and family that honesty should play a vital role. I believe in sticking with the truth from day one because you dont get confused wheras if you tell a lie you will have to try and keep up with the lie which leads to another lie which will eventually lead you to getting caught so I say why not tell the truth in my relationships I try to tell the truth whether the person likes it or not. But I do believe the everyone deserves to be told the truth, even if you think the truth will hurt them what will hurt them the most is if they find out that they were being lied to because noone likes to be lied too noone.

Honest is a best policy - but not always. If someone taking advantage of our honesty, the policy towards such people should change. I am one of the best example for the same. I behaved honestly with certain cases to some people and they simply fooled around with me on the true honesty that I maintained with them. Only because of this, I had to suffer a huge financial losses and which made my life turn around. So being honesty is good but we need to judge ourself how good it with the people who dealt with. i agree with you on that. being real and honest to your fellowmen is the best policy you could apply to yourself. nobody wants to be fooled and told a lie, but many do that to others. it will not lead you to nowhere nor do you any good if you keep on lying. this will only lose you your friends. and if you keep on telling lie, time will come when nobody will believe you with whatever you'll tell them and no one will take you seriously. it's better to tell the truth no matter how much it will annoy or hurt them, than making them believe into something which is not true.

Yes, We should try to be honest as far as possible, in fact it is mandatory to be honest in some kind of relationships (like Husband - wife). If you are in business, you should be honest with your dealings. You will keep getting more business and repeat clients.
