hello fellow mylotters and filipinos who are active here.
I am planning to get an atm account either in PNB or BPI for paypal verification. i am confused which of these banks do i need to get an atm savings account.
i would like to know if you are using bpi or pnb atm savings account for your paypal account. how much fees they are going to charge you for withdrawing funds from paypal.
happy mylottting!

Can I asked you something, Do you have any bank account before PNB /BPI ? If you had one, try to verified your Paypal with your local bank account. It's easy but take time to be approved (± 72 hour). See your mylot message to know how to make it done.

Same like a bank system; when you withdraw all your money, paypal or bank will think or assume that you gonna close your account. The best way to avoid that is to leave a small amount of money (usually I keep my money in paypal $1.5) when you withdraw.

Hi.
I don't use neither of them. Like most Filipino online workers, I use Unionbank EON debit card.

i use bpi (3-4 years ago) as an atm account. way back then i link my bpi in moneybookers instead of paypal because they are free of charge. but now i use smart money for paypal verification. i haven't tried the eon card yet but i'm planning to get one since paypal charge you on low amount (50php for below 6k) if you use the eon card

i'm not sure if its 50 pesos. but you can try it. when you link your bpi savings account last three to four years ago, was it a successful one?

Hi leon! My paypal account is also not verified. But my cousin is using EON card and I'm planning to have my account verified soon. I'm also not that familiar on how we can verify our paypal account. Not sure as well if there is an annual fee involve in EON card as well.

You could verify with bpi. I am not sure if Pnb does the same. I verified mine with a credit card but when I withdraw funds from paypal i withdraw it via BPI. BPI is one of the most convenient bank I ever tried because of low maintenance and transactions fees which the other banks don't have as compared to metrobank and BDO. I am not against to this banks but from experience wise they charge to much.

great, but i will not use bpi credit card since i don't have one. what i will use is bpi atm savings account.
i think you can still verify but i am wondering how to get the code from paypal when they sent the code to bpi. because when you link your bank account to paypal, paypal will send a code where you need to for successful verification with paypal.
do you have an idea with this?

tess_quinain, you don't have bpi savings account anymore? its great if you will try to link your paypal with your bpi of you have one.
in unionbank you only need two valid id's. any government ids and prepare also your TIN and your SSS and fill out an application form. i think you also need a picture for your application

I use unionank eon on mine so I don't know the fees and charges if you are gonna use BPI cards. Most banks have a 24/7 support try to call to get your information.

hello leon,
i guess everyone is using EON card from Union Bank. if i am right, you can open an account paying 350 pesos (unless they have changed the fee already). it usually takes 2 weeks for the bank to process it.
with regards to bpi or pnb, i guess a credit card with them will suffice and will be honored by paypal.
have a good day.

HI!
I don't know if using those banks would make you verify your paypal. I tried using my BDO before and it didn't work. Also, I read that BPI can't be used either though I'm not sure. That's why even if the bank was far, I registered a Unionbank EON account which is the account perfect for PayPal.
SOme say you can use Globe GCash or Smart MOney, both have cards if you want and functions just like a real bank account. Maybe you could look into that options. If you are going to open an account to verify your paypal, I advice you make sure first they really can be used for paypal verification, because if not, your effort would just be wasted unless you need them for other things too.

In my experience, I verified my paypal account using my credit card, you can verify your paypal account using any credit card that has a Master or Visa logo. I use my bank account, and you can use yours too (as long as it is paypal supported) to withdraw funds from your Paypal account to your bank account ( they charge a 50 peso fee for every transaction less than 6,999 pesos), there are no fees if it is 7,000 pesos or more. I'm not so sure if you can use a bank atm to verify your paypal account.

I am not quite sure that i can assist you with that because i have my bank account linked with paypal so i just transfer the money from paypal straight to my account with no additional fees.
