I think the first big problem is corruption. This is too obvious if there is an ongoing road project and they delay it too much. Next I guess is garbage disposal which contributes to the flood. And lastly education, it is too sad to see that only rich people can afford quality education. Even the budget in education is not enough or not well distributed.

Garbage disposal? Is this not our responsibility? We should be responsible enough to know which is biodegradable and non biodegradable isn't?

it's seemed that many of Phillipins people assume corruption the biggest problem in the country ,is it really that serious, this problem is also a problem in Sino, but i think the situation here is much better than in yours.and i wonder how can garbage disposal contribute to the flood ,is there much flood in you country?

I agree with you diogz22. Garbage disposal is every individual responsibility. We must learn or responsible in disposing our garbage. The floods are becoz we people has not yet been discipline enough or let me say we have not yet been learning what is happening right now. We must also learn to value our forest.

I think that the only major problem in the country is corruption. Without it, surely poverty will be lessen and there will be more schools and school materials for the children. Without the presence of corruption, there will be more job opportunities for all. Parents are able to sent their children to school.

Was it greed before corruption? then came poverty? then came the education? Or simply just the mindset and culture of the people?

I think the major problems we have in our country are 1. Overpopulation 2. Corruption 3. Improper mindset. Poverty is just the result of overpopulation and wrong mindset.

Definitely corruption! Just to share, I saw this one amazing documentary made by a Japanese artist. He went to Bhutan and interviewed people there. Despite the country's economy, he was wondering why people are living happily and contented. The answer? They follow the concept of GDH. "Gross Domestic Happiness" :P Just want to share because personally, I think people should also learn how to be contented with what they have :P

I agree that poverty, corruption and education are the greatest problems of our country. So for me the other forms include the poor leadership and dishonesty of public officials, discipline with the people when it comes to cleanliness and use of natural resources and slow economic improvement
