July is the second month which I still paid a very low electric bill. I incurred only $3.00, though a little higher than the previous month, it is still substantially low than the other months which we are not very conscious with our power consumption. I could easily see the reason for the few cents increase, it is because of the start of school days where there are lots of uniform that needs to be iron. I am happy with the result of the discipline that we are applying in our life. I am hoping to maintain it for the rest of the months. Maybe you could do the same with your bills.

Hello Jalucia... You are paying a lot for your power consumption, I don't know if it will work with your lifestyle and your country but here are the things I've done. First, I unplugged the refrigerator, I live near a mini-grocery store, a wet market and a meat shop so I don't need to stock the products in my ref. My in-laws do the cooking so we usually go to their house to eat. If you don't need a big ref, it could be more practical to buy a smaller one. My husband replaced all bulbs from 40 watts to 5 watts only. We seldom watched the television, used the laptop instead of the desktop. We don't have aircon, we use only 1 electric fan and sleep in one larger room than to separate in each others' room to minimize consumption. I limit my ironing to only clothes which are necessary to be iron. My washing machine is an automatic large capacity which has a power saving facility. Instead of making several loads, I only make 3 loads a week. I hope this will help you, it will be difficult at first but you and your family will adjust in just a few months. Even my youngest daughter is very conscious now on her power consumption. You may not reached my $3.00 power bill but saving a few dollars will definitely help your family. Goodluck and God Bless!

Woah!! $3 is so low! You're from Philippines so that must be around P126? That is just too low! Our monthly electric bill always reach P2000. We are only four in our house and we actually do our best to save. How did you do that? You're so great!

i wish i could do the same as you. our home electric bill seems to get even higher every month. and worst thing is we can't manage to maintain it at least a little lower no matter what we do. even if we use electricity less than the usual other charges gets higher each time too. anyway we're getting used to it. but still our hopes are up for some change next time in the future. happy mylotting!

i salute you for being thrifty in electricity.
In our house, we pay a high electric bill. One of the main reason is every time we open the faucet the water pump will work and consume electricity. Our washing lady would always be reminded not to let the faucet at the wash area left just dripping while she does her laundry at the washing machine. Well, i don't think so that she's doing it.
We will be having a local water connection soon, so that this problem with the high electric bill will be solved.

wow you are so amazing with your electric bill that is very low. i hope we can do that too but then it is too hot in our area so our electric fans have to work full time and we also have to watch tv so that we will be entertained. we dont live near the wet market so we have to stock food in the ref too.
