I am New and have a Few questions

The more time and effort you can devote to placing postings and responding to postings, the more you will earn, of course. Besides, if you can complete the tasks offered successfully, that would enhance the earnings. There is a list of available tasks, and keep checking it and see if you can do any of the tasks.

All you need to know about Mylot is written in the FAQ : http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx There you'll find the answers to most of your questions. If you don't find an answer, you can ask. Here the users are always nice and very helpful. I think it is OK for a newbie to earn 12 cents in 3 days. I don't think I made this much in my first days here. There is no rule how much a user earns in Mylot. It depends on how active are that user. For instance, I can't be active too much time, and there are even days when I can't login Mylot. So my example wouldn't be a good one. I think that if you are active here, you'll be satisfied with your earnings. About uploading photos, you can upload them into new discussions and also into your interests. To be able to upload them into responses or comments, you must have more than 500 posts.

You can put pictures in to comments. Yes with only 19 submissions 12 cents is about right. We are actually not supposed to discuss our earnings on here, so this post might get deleted if someone actually answers that question as to how much they earn. I can only tell you if you want to make payout every month you should try and answer about 15 questions per day and start at least two discussions.

Yeah,it is quite normal for starters. Remember,the more you are active,the more your earnings will be.Check in daily,make some friends,respond to the ongoing discussions,add comments,start your own discussions,upload pictures and above all,share knowledge.You are gonna have fun.Stick around here.Happy Mylotting.

it is nice you have made 12 cents in 3 days when i started i had only 4 cents in i days it depends upon you that how active you are and how effort you do to solve questions, so if you want earn more you have to active more and nothing else. If you start 10 discussions daily, give 20 answers and 5 picture upload daily than you can earn nice money so be active and responds as many you can .

They have already answered your question but I just want to add something to drive a point home. The only secret with mylot is, to make it your friend and enjoy being here. I suggest you don't count your earning or posts you have contributed on mylot. Have fun and try search bar and sometimes tasks too can really help. Oh yes! Well, don't be too discouraged about your 12 cents. You have to make a lot of posts in order to earn more than that. I'm not exactly sure how the earnings work. But, I wouldn't expect to be paid more than one cent per comment. I have no idea about the picture thingee. I have yet to figure out how to add images to my profile. I think that number after your username, above, indicates how many times you have contributed on the site - again, I'm not totally sure. But, it says that you have contributed 14 times so I would say that your earnings were about right. I don't come to myLot every day. I mostly enjoy the quick interaction that the site offers and consider the money a perk that drew me into the site. GL

Well, first of all, welcome to Mylot! Hmm...I've been here for close to 3 years already and I can guarantee that, it's a lot of fun being a member of Mylot and most importantly, I can't emphasize this enough, the community here is very very very friendly, and it really feels nice being here. One thing though, to enjoy your stay here, you have to read the guidelines and the TOCs so as not to have any unnecessary deletion of your posts or even discussions. One important point is that, you must remember not to post anything related to the Mylot earnings algorithm or you will risk your post or discussion being deleted. Like what some mylotters here have said, just make Mylot your friend or treat it like how you would treat your best friend and you'll enjoy your stay here a lot in the days or even years to come!

From my experience I can say that myLot is not a place where you can earn more. If you can spend 4-5 hours a day on myLot, you will be able to gain $10 per month and at the same time, you will have to be careful of what you type here. One comment that hurts someone can affect your earning. Overall, I can say, it's not the place where you can earn much but yes, if you go through the money making discussions, you will certain get to know so many other ideas of earning money. Think of it as an alternative of Facebook/Orkut you will certainly enjoy mylot. The earning here on mylot is depended on the quality of comments and not on the number of comments. All the best !!!

Hello there fellow newbie :) I have been here in mylot for 4 days now and I've been learning in this site through the discussions and some friends in here. I think that's a normal earning for newbies like us mainly because we don't still have ratings (the star that can be seen above your username whenever you post something in here). Its like saying that we should earn our respect first before earning money. Also, the quality of our posts matters more than the number of posts you have. Its in the essence of your post that you can get a higher payment. I know you can put a picture upon creating a new discussion but am not sure upon giving a comment. :)
