Geico

I don't know about that. The gecko came about years ago in some commercials when people tried to call Geico, but accidentally called the gecko. He kept trying to explain to people he was a gecko and had nothing to do with Geico, but eventually, it seemed he decided he may as well join the Geico team if people were going to contact him anyway. LOL I don't think the gecko is used to lure people in any more than Flo from Progressive, or the man from the Nationwide. I think these characters are used to make the commercials entertaining and funny, while informing viewers what the benefits of the companies are.
