Swiffer Jet

Is Swiffer Jet really better than using a mop? When you look at it, a mop costs extremely less than a Swiffer product and they basically do the same job. Is it really worth nuying a Swiffer Jet? I like the plain ole mop, so I don't see the need to spend that large of an amount of money for something a mop could do just as easily. Your opinion?

I have a Swiffer. I only use it for those quick clean-ups, and not a major floor washing. For that, I use a regular old mop. I find those pads you have to buy for it a little on the expensive side, since you can only use them once. To get around that, I took an old bath towel and made pads that can be thrown into the wash instead. I prefer mops to the Swiffer though. Mops don't need batteries, nor expensive attachments that need replacing every time you turn around!! The only time I use the Swiffer anymore is if a real quick clean-up is necessary, and I want the floor to dry quicker.
