I am in my 20's and still love to learn the piano. I have had this dream when I was in elementary but due to financial inadequacy i could not afford to buy a piano nor to have a piano class. Now, I am asking... is it too late for me to learn how to play the piano? is learning the piano easy or difficult? Do you think i could learn fast? I wonder how would my teacher treat me if i couldn't learn fast.
It's one of my dream. So, i guess i have to erase all my worries and pursue that dream. I will take a piano class this year. No excuses.
How about you? Do you have a dream in your childhood that you wanted to pursue it now?
There's no such thing of being late to do something.

I think you have had your answer in your mind-never too late to learn piano.
I also had a great dream in mind but it will never come true, that is to bacome a pilot. Polot is required to have good eyesight. But I'm nearsighted. Don't care other factors. Just keep going on your piano classes. Good luck girl!

i think there is no age limit for learning how to play piano.. i do play organ or keyboard, almost similar to piano, but i do knwo how to play piano also.. but basic only.. i guess first you have to learn how to read notes.. for G clef and treble clef..then you should know some piano chord charts also.. so at least when you start your piano lessons you know some very basic details in it

Make that a reality my friend.Yes, we may say that famous piano players started at their tender age but I think there's no limitation. Regardless of how old you are if you want to learn something it's still possible. If you have the passion I think you could easily learn.Go for it my friend.

It would not be too late if you have time to practice. However, it would take at least 6 years to pass the Grade 8 ABRSM exam even if you practice 2-3hours every day. I found it very difficult to count and play together even now after passing the grade 8 piano exam with a distinction. However, a lot of people manage to get the rythme right as well as playing the right notes. What you have to focus if you learn playing the piano is to practice more of your fingerings, especially those boring scales and appegios as they help you a lot in your higher level playings. Hope you will have fun in your piano lesson and playing!

i think it's ok to learn piano even if you are already 20 or older, if that was your dream then go for it, achieving ones dream is ok whatever your age is. and its normal that it will be hard for you at first, but because you could understand better maybe its easier for you.goodluck!

yes, i also wanted to learn dance in my childhood but could not do so, the reason same as yours.it`s never late to learn something.I think age should be no bar to learn something,or to do some work.I still want to learn dance or any instrument, infact i enquired about violin classes few days back.Yes,you could learn, but somethings are easy and somethings are difficult for every person individually. So don`t worry about the result and start with your piano classes.ALL THE BEST!

life is a continuous process of learning, nothing is too late or nothing is late if you want to. i play the bass and guitar and i can play simple songs on the keyboard. if you will give atleast an hour everyday then i guess this hard thing will be easy as time goes by. music relaxes us, and even if you are alone music can be our companion. i love playing my guitar, and my wife is a good singer so it adds to the relaxation if i play and she sings.

It is never too late to learn! I think that piano teachers would prefer to teach adults because there is more of a tendency to take lessons more seriously than what children do. Most adults that take lessons are doing it because they want to do it rather than being forced to do it like kids are. Since you are doing it because you want to do it, you would probably do better than most kids would even if it takes longer to learn. Go for it and have fun!

Yes, you should pursue your dream. You are only in your 20's my dear so don't think you are too old to learn piano. In fact I know someone who is already in her 50's but still was able to learn piano. I believe it all depends on the person's will and perseverance. If you like to learn you will learn. I believe when it comes to learning piano there is no such thing as too old. Maybe there are those who are too young to understand piano lesson but no one is too old if he or she is really committed to learn it.

exactly, it is not too late for us to pursue our dreams in life. Learning the piano has no age limits. Though some people discourage you not to do the things you like to do because you are too old but never listen any of them. Money is tight but happiness is the best.

Go ahead fellow mylotter tess, learn the piano. There's no such thing as difficult as long as you are really eager to learn and since it's your childhood dream, I'm pretty sure you will learn to play right away. It's never too late to learn you're still young. I know somebody who learn to play the piano in his 50's. I think they're the same age with his piano teacher. He can now play his favorite songs using the piano.

Yes, my childhood dream. But the thing is obstacles keep blocking my way. I know I am never too old to learn something. I want to be a piano teacher someday. Everybody is right. If there's a will, there's a way. If you have the passion and the determination, everything is possible.

It's never too late for someone to learn new stuff. You should live your dream. I'm in my 20's as well, and I've just started learning how to play the guitar. I didn't have much time when I was a student that's why I try my best to do the things I was not able to do back then. So.. good luck to us!!!

It is not too late to do anything what we want in life that makes us happy. And why would it be too late when you are still very young? Do believe that with your determination I am sure you will learn very fast. It is good to learn the piano. You can express your emotions well by just playing it.

Go for it. I took years of lessons from when I was four years old until I was fifteen. I didn't want to do it, but my parents wanted my sister and I to learn some kind of musical instrument. So we both took piano lessons. I do not play the piano now and it has been years since I have touched one. However, my sister still plays the piano and she actually teaches people how to play the piano now that she is older. She can also play the flute. So she gives piano, flute, and voice lessons. And she has adult students too. Learning new things as we get older keeps our minds fresh and wards off memory related problems as we get older. I hope you don't let anything stand in your way of learning this. I think you will find it rewarding.

Honestly, I don't think that it's ever too late to learn how to play an instrument. I met someone who was in his 50s and had just started to learn how to play the guitar. I'm in my 20s and I hope to learn to play the piano as well. So, I honestly don't think that it's ever too late to learn.

I believe it is not too late to learn something as long as you are passionate about it. Yes, you are right; there should be no excuses. Even though I'm currently taking my bachelor's degree in political science, my childhood dream really is to be an architect... and I am still quite passionate about it. Maybe someday, I would pursue this dream of mine, or well, at least some other field related to it like painting or industrial design.
