Many people are addicted to video games especially the children. Most of the time, they spend playing online games. I even heard a news about a person who died from playing too much on video games.. Playing video games has some bad health effects. It may cause blood clotting, obesity and unhealthy lifestyle. But people are just so crazy about online or video games. Others are even playing it because they can earn money from it.
I heard a lot of bad health issues about playing online games. Not just that. It also affects the grades of children in school. Parents have a hard time controlling their children in playing most especiall the addicts.

You are an exact example of what I speak about. You take it upon yourself to ensure you stay healthy, personal responsibility in your health. I do the same as well. Congratulations on having enough will power to not have self control on your actions.

Oh yeah, video games are really very addictive, harming kids and also adults. It has become a favorite way of spending the spare time, after school, between classes, or even while at work. It certainly harms the person'e health in many different ways, starting from eye-sight and blood pressure.

On the contrary video games have been proven to improve eye sight as well as hand and eye coordination. They have been introduced into medical schools for this exact reason.

I don't really blame video games for health issues like obesity and brain clots etc. but anything can be used to the extreme and become a bad issue in your life.
In the age of technology that we live in I think that computers and video games have become a very common household item for almost everyone. I myself played video games when I was a kid and I still play a little every now and again but I don't sit for hours and hours every day doing it. Anything can become harmful if you take it to extreme. I don't care what hobbies you choose for yourself you still need a good diet and exercise to stay healthy.
I think that there is a good point to the fact that video games help in the development of hand and eye coordination as well as gaming can be used to educate and entertain. I do however think that there can be some bad items in everything. I have seen some games that I don't think would be appropriate for a younger crowd due to the adult themes of the games. I am not one of those that think video games promote violence in children but I have seen some games that I wouldn't want my youngest child playing.

This is vide game era
Children are now more like the online world than in real socializing with people...
addiction to video games is more dangerous than expected
children will lose the conscience if thee is too often playing violent video games ..
children will lose the idealism if they is too often playing with a strategy game
indeed, there are good effect if they also play video games
but we must never forget, that too many video games that are played will be more damaging than the good effects

I give you a little credit for at least mention that there is good for video games. But you say it just to try and not have someone come at you for it I think. The children maybe socializing online but it is still socializing. Children will not lose their conscience if they play violent video games. If the children would go and mug someone or steal or beat down or murder someone, it was already seeded in their psyche, the games do not cause someone to get up one day and say oh I think Im gonna go steal a car from that old man down the street. Everyone needs to quit blaming inanimate objects on the wrong things that bad people do.

While videogames can be addictive, there are plenty of games that require you to movie around, and people still like to do outdoor activities too so it's not like people play videogames all the time, I like playing videogames but I actually don't play them a whole lot.

There is already having a problem on children being addicted to video games, this
is also having an issue in today's youth generation especially in some of industrialized nation such as South Korea in which sense categorically having a
robust internet connection speed higher than some developing countries which is
a up to a 100 Mbps internet speed. And they are also being stated being the most wired
country.
There is a story report made by al jazeera news (English) if I could still
remember it it airs on 101 east episode it states that online video game of
being addicted to is existing of which because of highly anticipated the booming
of today's internet. The South Korean Government has made a program in which
youth addicted in online and video gaming is sent to a probably a much like a boot
camp by which they are to help on how coped up their addicted to video gaming.

I did a school group project about video game addiction. I actually love video games and I use to play a lot before I ran out of good games to play. Really, it depends on the individual but the influence of video games at a young age is quite an issue. Kids these days are more exposed to technology than before. So it's better to give the child some fun but carefully monitor how much they play. A friend once told me about a Korean man who played an online game for 2 days straight without stopping. He ended up in the hospital. We all have limits and we need to recognize them.
