I was washing my face this morning and tried not to blink so that the soap will not get into my eyes but I had to close my eyes because a sneeze came... I thought, how come I can't sneeze with my eyes open? I initially thought that this would be a good and funny question to start a discussion but after just a second it sounded stupid to me. So the question is this... what are the topics that you consider as worthy of being a discussion in myLot? Do you think sneezing can be considered as one?

Hi ddaguno Sorry for my delayed response as I was away for 2 1/2 weeks and with no internet. Oh gosh I find this such a great site that we can pretty much create a discussion, even about a sneeze too. I do enjoy the back and forth interacting as it is what makes the discussion, especially when we go off a bit off topic and continually enhance the discussion with yet more to have learned. So my dear friend sneezing can be a discussion too as we can discuss reason for continually sneezing, allergies and or scary sneezes too that some people I know offline that cause me to jump when they do so.

Better late than never hardworkinggurl. 2 1/2 weeks with no internet? Wow! That must have been tough. Well, for me it would've been. I rely on it too much now. And yes, thanks to mylot we can talk about anything. The other mylotters that commented here also made me realize that even a sneeze can become an interesting topic for a discussion

Isn't it amazing the things that we think of to make a discussion of on here, but this is a funny one. I probably would never have thought of making this a discussion but it works well. Anything that we can think of to write about can be a discussion if we try hard enough.

Yep! That's what's good about this site. You can write about anything you can think of and talk about any topic as long as it's within the terms of course. but I think myLot rules are very reasonable. It's what makes the site an enjoyable one.

Studies have shown that we cannot sneeze with our eyes open. It's proven impossible. Well, I wouldn't dare to sneeze with my eyes open in case something terrible happens, I think if we did that, our eyes could fly out?

dear it has a logical and practical answer. see when we sneeze the air comes out from our nose and mouth at a speed of around 80 miles per hour. To achieve such a high speed our body is required to close every other function of the body temporarily. You can think it as when a high voltage applicable like heater starts in our home all other appliances show a dip in voltage for a while.

sneezing.... Do you sneeze discreetly or do you blatantly allow yourself to be loud? Also, I read somewhere before (around 15 years ago), that it is the human body's way to expel some foreign stuff like virus/bacteria.

Sure why not,and you've started it already Now i wonder who can sneeze with eyes open wide (wohooo) I bet we can dare anyone who can ever do that, and made them upload their video while sneezing and never closed their eyes. Or I guess I will start searching in youtube if anyone ever uploaded a video of a person who can do such thing...sneeze with open eyes!

Hi Jaiho, Yes I did, didn't I? And hmmm... and it seems like a number of people are also into sneezing topics wow, if we find any video of a non-eye-closing person while blinking I really would be amazed!

I guess any topic that comes into our mind that we think worth discussing.Sneezing is one which I think had never been thought about.I just came to realize that we can not really sneeze with our eyes open.It do closed naturally as we expel these bacteria in our system through sneezing.

I believe what is important to you will be an important topic for others. They say no question are stupid. I think no topic are less important. It depends on in what way you present it for others to read. It's like writing a book. Are you an exceptional talent writer you can make the most simple theme to be the most enjoyable to read. In my opinion everything is of interests. What is the whole world of importance for you can be nothing for someone, but we should accept our difference of value things. Next time you think it is nothing and some other think it is the most important.

Well, first and foremost, the most important discussion on a site like this one is whether it actually pays or not. But you can literally start any type of discussion here, as long as it's not something offensive (racism, religion etc.). At least that's what I think.

You are really funny. Actually, I think you are really creative. It could be one topic. The question is not stupid. I'm just wondering why we have to close our eyes when sneezing. Funny!
