I just made a new friend here at myLot and I was surprised when I fund he is from China. He was just as surprised that he is the first person I met from china here on mylot. Have I not been paying attention??? Where are all these persons from china? Do you have a friend that is from china? Why haven't I come across any until now? Well myLot is filled with people from all over the world, and I shouldn't be too surprised about anything here...

It's me? But no matter who it is, why are you so surprised about China. Can you tell me the reason? I'm Chinese, so I don't want to be discriminated by foreigners. Can you tell my what's the meaning of the four question marks on your headline?

You guys have got me all wrong. I don't have anything against anyone... I'm not discriminating I was merely surprised because in 1 month I haven't come across any one that introduced themselves as being from china.that's it. And the ?? marks are jst there to get your attention. It worked didn't it?

Hi Flash2! Misunderstandings are common with social networking sites.. I didn't see anything wrong with the question marks or your post.. They did get my attention and they did serve their purpose... So no worries my friend. Not everyone got you wrong. =D

There are many Lotters from China as you can see here: http://www.mylot.com/w/usersbylocation/1.aspx Maybe you were not in the same places? Maybe you were not checking all of the locations of the users that you have interacted with up to now? I have several Lotters from China on my friend list and indeed, as you siggest, nothing surprises me here on myLot any more.

My question is this? Is it a big deal to have a Chinese friend? The people of Chinam is innocent and being a victim of their government of segregation. People from China want a fair treatment too... As we all know there government is not a government of free people but a government of aristocratic...

Hi Flash2, maybe you assume that those people are from India or other parts of Asia where the command of English is better than mainland Chinese. I have come across many users from China. I do not need to ask whether they are from China or not. The way they write, and the things they say are indications of their nationality. Chinese are very passionate about their culture, and proud of their history. They are food lovers too. Their English is American English. Those from other parts of Asia use mainly British English, since Britain colonized a large part of Asia long ago. I think if you take the trouble to ask, you would have known many users from China.

I have 140 friends and I rarely check where they are from before sending them a friend request or accepting one but I agree with you I have not seen a lot of users from China, I have seen Users form UK, USA , India but not China.

i'm not even sure if i have met anyone from china.. to be honest i don't ever really ask where anyone is from.. i can maybe tell from their picture, if its a picture of them, or i can tell from the things they say maybe ie- american or uk phrases etc.. but where someone is from doesn't generally interest or concern me.. i'm more interested in who they are as a person, what they are like, and providing there is no language barrier and i can communicate with them.. i'm a happy wee spud :)

No, I don't have here in my lot. In the first place, it's hard to recognize their faces. I was more surprised when I saw a lot of US citizens here. I'm not sure if all of them are here to make money. Ooopps, don't get me wrong. But you know, since I was a kid I believe that the land of americans is the richest place on earth. and they are the richest person. According to what I see in the movie. And though they're jobless, they still receive allowance from the government. Correct me if i'm wrong. Unlike here in the philippines. Survive as long as you can. If you compare the poorest people between US and other poor country, you can see the big difference. I just wonder if the US citizens here take MYlot as a serious job.

I'm so glad to be refered to in your discussion. Well, China is the country that has the most population in the world. But I know that there are really few Chinese people on mylot because we don't know it and most of us aren't good enough to read english. You are from America. I once had an American teacher. I like him so much. He is probably the best teacher that I ever met. His name is Mark. He is so tall and so strong. I like the way he was teaching us. I really miss him.
