We as Indians were proud of our nation especially because we are on of the world's biggest democratic country actually the biggest as the population of India now is the largest in the world after China (which is not a democratic country). The democracy has a great role in modeling the country post independence from the British empire after 1947 but now it is like a nightmare. The representatives chosen by the people do not care about the country even for a single second as all their work is for their personal benefits. These days a number of scams have been coming out in front of people. Food prices are sky high that a common man cannot afford to eat two times a day and moreover the atrocities these days are done by the police by the order of higher government officials when people want a change. What can a normal person do in these conditions. Can he or she just keep his or her mouth shut and stand by the atrocities. What can be done to bring the revolution. How can everybody join for a better nation for a greater cause.

Governments mirror one another ultimately. We're the ones choosing to give them different labels. But whether you call something a democracy, a dictatorship, a monarchy, a theocracy, a socialist/communist state, or anything else you want to call it, it all boils down to the same thing - the government is only as good as those in charge. Unfortunately, mankind hasn't changed enough to change at all. People around the globe are hungry for real change. We want to be better people. We want to help more people. We want to help more of the planet. And we also still want to help ourselves. Politicians have taken these things and have warped them into campaign slogans. In the USA, almost every one of our politicians is a self-serving, hypocritical, unethical bozo. But they continuously get in power by playing at the citizenry's heart strings. They claim the whole hope and change mess, but all they really want is the job. They want the public to feel as if they're for change, but the only "change" they're going for is to implement a broader power structure, where government controls more. It's the same everywhere. My advice to the Indian people is the same as my advice to my fellow countrymen. Keep standing up for what you believe. When you let it be known that you disagree with the government, the government and anything it controls (like much of the media here in the USA) will tear you down. You will be called many things. You will be made to feel stupid. People will treat you like you deserve to be killed for opposing government. And in many governments around the world, they'll just go ahead and kill you. But as long as it's a democracy, things can be changed a little easier. Or at least with a little less blood. Let your opinion be known. Wanting a better country where PEOPLE have the control and not the government is never a bad thing. I've been called an extremist because I want Americans to run America and not the government. You just have to keep standing up for what you believe. This type of revolution isn't a war. It's a creeping movement that picks politicians off one at a time. And for every good politician to take their place, another politician's hands become tied.

Thanks for such a detailed response. I thought that only indians are frustrated because of the government and I feel that what you said in the last line is going to be true in the near future but i feel that there is much more to do by the people. We have to broaden our mind to choose the right government and have to develop skills so as to face the deadly brains of those old junky politicians.
