Hi, Sadly I do not consider my parents as my best friends though I cannot deny that they love me very much and I feel the same for them.The way I have been brought up,in the kind of culture we have being from the Bengali community,children are brought up keeping a certain distance from parents in terms of friendship.We make friends with our peers or classmates or people of our age since childhood in school or the neighborhood but regard our parents more with a mixture of respect and admiration.It is a different set-up altogether you see.I do not share personal stuff like my crush or my interests with them although they do not stop me from having my own way.Yet there is a sort of a distance between us in the sense that I know they are elder to me and I should respect them.I cannot think of them as my friends.I do tell them if certain problems crop up but do not tell them everything.Of course I am not hiding anything serious from them but I respect them a lot and so do not discuss certain things with my parents.I am glad to hear of your deep friendship and bonding with your father.My good wishes to you.

My parents were my best friends, and my best advisors. They were beside me whenever the need is there. They were the people who guided me to get on to the right path in life, and I always feel gratitude for them for all I have in life as I continue on.

My grandparents who raised me are my best friends.They took in me and my sister when we was little and had no other place to go.They supported me my whole life through.Now they are in heaven but they will always be my best friends.
