We are lucky to have plenty of water. Let us please conserve it.

A lot of people just cannot learn. And many needs to be constantly reminded how important water conservation is. They need to be reminded how thirsty other people are at the other side of the world only to be conscientious on how water should be used. Water is a precious element. We cannot imagine living without it. We can never survive without it. It is more important than food. We can survive longer with water than without food. So I would hope everyone will do their share in conserving it. Let us save water, our money, and most importantly Mother Earth's most precious element.

Exactly! We cannot live without water for long. :) We should conserve water. In our home, one way I do to save water is not to flush the toilet with its flusher when I pee.. Only when I poo. My teacher said that flushing the bowl consumes a big amount of water. So, what I would do if I only pee is that I just pour a pail of water to the bowl to somehow conserve water. :)

That is true. What I do sometimes is that I only flush it after several peeing since I pee a lot because I drink plenty of water a day. And even half a small bucket is enough to flush the pee. Sometimes I wash those little things like underwear and rinse it while water is pouring in the bucket and use it to flush the toilet.

Yes i agree you my friend conserving water is very much important because we can understand what our future will be with the scarcity of water and we can also imagine life without water so conserving water is very much important.

I am really conscious of not wasting water and I am aware as you are of how lucky we are to have so much here in North America. I wonder if science will ever invent water, the way they invent other substances? It would be great if they did but I suppose highly unlikely. Once the glaciers melt, and they are doing it as I speak, that will be it. The end of the fresh water. What will happen then? I hope there is water on Mars as they say there is, because maybe we can go in the far futrure and live there and begin a new earth...

I can imagine things like that too. I wonder if the world is trying to make ready for the potential running out of these resources and make ships like what we saw in the movie that transports people in another liveable planet in the future. But I wonder if they do the same to take only the chosen one and leave the rest of the people here on earth to die. It so sad and scary because things like these can actually happen if people don't help each other to conserve water.

Hi dear,
Thank you for your botheration on water. In fact I am restless on these days basically on such issues. Even I talked to one of my friend about the same event. Water is wasting like anything, food, other natural resources, each and everything in our daily life is getting wasted about 20-25 percent daily. It is time to change our life patterns and styles. We our self need to get educated and think wisely and if possible make aware of such things largely to others also.
Another factor is population. The level of increase of population is severely going to affect the life after a period of time. Individual and even government also not seriously thinking of the aftermath of the over population. After some years, where we go for food and other things to feed the population. Everyone need their own family with 2-3 children and if this ratio goes up, what would be the result after 100 years? It is really beyond imagination and we can think of the future of our the coming generations life in any way.
Your topic is really a serious topic and not just a subject matter, we should think of it and work for the same wisely.
Thank-s

You are more than welcome thanks1961! Yes, a lot of other important things are getting wasted too. I don't know why so many people do that. When my four year old can't finish a small snack I would tell her that there are a lot of children in the world who's got no food to eat and you are wasting it. What I do is that I eat it myself for her and I tell her that she will make me fat if she has to do it all the time because she does that every time I am through with mine. Haha. The same with water. I also drink what she can't finish.
Yes population is is indeed one bid factor. A lot of people don't realize it and I hope that something can be done to control it. It is sad to think how the next generation will live with all the scarcity of these precious things. Thank you.

That was nice of you to inform us of those things. But i guess, it's common sense that water is really very important and should be conserved.
When we brush our teeth, just have a glassful of water for brushing, not just keep the faucet running while you brush your teeth.
When we wash our dishes you can have a big basin filled with water and wash the dishes in it , and have another two for the first and second rinse, not having the faucet running all the time while you wash the dishes.

That is correct, water is very important to mankind, I can't imagine how we will live our life without it. And about conserving, I don't use our shower when I take a bath, I use a dipper to save more water, but one thing I can't manage to use less water, it's when I clean our dishes, I'm very strict when it comes in cleaning the dishes. But everyone in our house is doing great job in conserving water, we're all fully aware of what is happening to our environment. =)

Yes, we are lucky indeed to have an abundant water supply. Some other countries does not have the same situation and water is quite scarce. But sad to note that because it is abundant, many of us take it for granted. I hope that many will realize the value of water and conserve as well as do their share of protecting the environment. I do not want such time to happen when people will be fighting against each other in their need for water.

Many people do take it for granted. Even when I am out and get to use water in any establishment I always remember that I shouldn't waste it even if I am not the one paying their bill. And I always remind my child never to waste anything, even a piece of paper, most especially water.

Yes, thetis, let us help each other in saving water. Water is the basic need for our survical, yet some of us, especially those who have it more does not care. If there are leakage fix it, if the tank is full we should turn it off, etc. Every single drop counts.

True enough a lot of people should be reminded always to conserve water. Most of the people nowadays don't know the value of water, they are just wasting it as if it will still be enough for all of us forever. I am really saddened if I knew a lot of water were just wasted by careless people or leaking faucet etc.

yes. water is very important and it has to be conserved carefully otherwise future generations may have problem and face water scarcity. Even I remember in 1970/80s Chennai faced acute water scarcity and we use to take water three stair above manually.

I agree... Some people reason that out that our Earth is 75% water so the water can't really run out. But they don't realize that not all of the 75% is consumable. Most of our water sources has already been polluted and its a sad fact. If each one of us will only do a little share to conserve water, then there could be s great chance of conserving and saving our water sources.

You are right. A lot of people take water for granted. Most people waste water or make the river or body of water dirty. Like what you have said we cannot survive without it. Our planet will die without it. I hope all of us take care of our precious water. Yes, we have plenty right now but what if someday it disappeared. Let's not wait for that day. Conserve water

hi thetis74
whatever the reason u talk about this topic, it is a must to consider about that in heart. actually people who do not have a lack of water will understand the value of water when he or she has felt the thirst a lot. if we can make them think how we feel when we do not have water and how we suffer i think it is the most successful thing we can for water conservation.
hope at least one will think about it.
