In my country, men have to go for a difficult courtship before they win the heart of the girl they liked. Sometimes, they even have to court the parents first to have a better image. For the teen mylotters, do you still do or experience this kind of courtship? For the parents, and older users, do you still see this courtship within our teens?
I noticed that right now, it doesnt exist anymore. Teens meet from facebook or start through text messages and calling each other. That tradition of visiting the house and not meeting on other place is not there anymore. This scares me, if I will have a daughter and she will not be courted... I think I will not give her to anyone. I see girls entering in a relationship with someone they met on facebook... how can love start from there? Then after sometime you'll see them with another guy... I dont understand.
For those from other countries... do you also have this practice of courtship, where men go visit the house of the lady and bring gifts or flowers and meet her family first?
I think it is romantic to preserve that. I married and have been courted, and I hope my future daughter will also find a man like her dad.

actually there are still those who practice VISITING the house of GIRL and MEET The Parents..(im in Philippines)..but there are still who Dont..
But the the MAIN PROBLEM here is: THE SUITOR maybe a PLAYBOY or VERY COWARD to meet the PARENTS or visit the GIRLS HOUSE..so I do believe its more on VALUES and Behavior of the MAN..:D
if the MAN is really aggressive and assertive, I think it should be more descent to Visit the woman or lady..
I did use the word ROMANTIC, cos today its means so serious..Its like more going on MARRIAGE..Romance scares others.so the RIGHT for it is FRIENDLY DATES.:D

unfortunately, that style of courtship is rare nowadays. I am happy that you still want your daughter to be like that, I would want that for my daughter too. It is sad that because of technology, this style of courtship has become so rare nowadays. Teens will start and break relationship through text or just in Facebook.

To hear the Millionair Matchmaker talk it does but most men just don't think that way in my country. They jump so many steps that it is really very sad. SO much of the romance is gone from dating and all now days. Few people even date anymore. They hop right in bed and think because the chemicals are working its a go.

in our province, courtship is still very much alive. Although the youth of today are into facebook and text message courtship, there is still this difference when the guy has done courtship and has underwent trials just to make the girl answer a yes. I have also been courted that way and so the guy does not take me for granted because he knows he went through a lot to get me :)
