I'm often times on the go and trying to not eat so much fast food in an attempt to save money and be a bit healthier. I'm also lazy and don't like to cook, and when I am at work I sometimes don't even have time to take a 'legit' lunch break so having some kind of liquid just to drink as a meal would be awesome. I want to hear about your experiences with meal replacement shakes/drinks. What are the good ones?
I was drinking Ensure for a while, until my sister asked me: "What, are you trying to put on weight?" and that shocked me. LOL. I don't want to put on weight, but probably lose or maintain (although I'm not actively trying to lose weight - again, too lazy LOL). So I stopped buying those...
A friend of mine suggested Herbalife (or something like that) but I know it's expensive and not sure if it's filling enough to replace lunch.
What have you tried?
What works, and what doesn't?

Well, I think that I am the laziest of all the people living on the planet. I do not have food regularly and skip the meal number of times a week. The only time I have my meal is during the weekend, it me be surprising to hear this, but yes I stay only on Bournvita and bajjis all the day and have two chapatis for my dinner and again have bournvita. This has not affected me till date but I rely only on the bajjis and chapatis. Tomorrow being a weekend, I would love to experiment something by cooking and then have it. If it goes well, I'll enjoy or else have to throw it out!
By the way, water helps a lot by not creating any harm to the body in the absence of meal

Well here is one suggestion. If you love avocados as much as I do, then you should try making Avocado milk shake. I always make avocado milk shakes when I buy avocados. Now here it is:
take one avocado, cut it into half, throw away the seed and remove the contents and put inside the blender. Next, pour half a cup of milk into a cup(10cm tall), pour into the blender and repeat this process for another 2 times. Then, take five ice cubes and put inside the blender and you are on your way! Blend it until it's smooth and then, pour into a cup and add a tablespoon of honey and there you go! Avocado milkshake!
Yea, this is my favourite shake ever since I learned how to do it. Initially when I made it, it was too icy and rough as I put too many ice cubes, then I trial and error and finally I got to this. You can try! It tastes just great!!!

Hello. I am not a good cook to start with. So, I go to restaurants for lunch and dinner, or have the TV dinner packs, just micro-wave and that's it. So, meal replacements are very convenient too. I keep a stock of Ensure and Boost always. When I get hungry, that will do it.

I have tried meal replacement and it did work for a while but being a mother, I love cooking so I ended eating again. Recently I lost 25 kilos by limiting my meal intake. I only take a bowl of rice with some protein and lots of vegetables. I also drink at least 3 litres of water per day. It works for me.

If I want to replace my meals with replacement shakes I use different kinds of fruit in a blender. Any fruit that is available would be fine. Sweeten it with honey and you get a nutritious meals that can keep you going. I often do it in the morning. Sometimes I put a little finely grated ginger, or tomato or cucumber. Sometimes I don't mind the taste at all. But many times they taste really good if I don't add vegetables on it. I don't strain them. I always drink it with the pulp.

i think some cookies and fruit shakes will do,coz thats what i eat at lunch when i dont have packed lunch... but not always of course coz you still need to have protein and some carbo and vitamins.
